That sentence sounds pretty ambiguous to me, i don't want to get my hopes up, "processing" could also mean cancelling. It doesn't explicitly say they are honouring the outstanding orders.
This is how I read it too. I hope we are wrong.
I think the OP who contacted Fair trading should call Garmin just to confirm as a proud representative if this decision was indeed turned by this individual's commitment as an Ozbargainer (despite everyone's varied view of his act).
Same, I though "processing" means they're cancelling the order and returning the money..
Looks like they don't take the funds until it's processed though.
My purchase for a Fenix 6x hasn't come out at all they have received the order.

My bank account was charged at about the time the email came through.
I hope no one at Garmin got in trouble, I'd rather they just cancel the orders.
That said, their first mail should have been more truthful, even if they just said the code was supposed to be 50$ off and issue a new code for 50$ so people can reorder or something.The culprit was apparently third-party.
Probably be the last time that running club gets a discount code…

I don't understand why you'd let any one have access to creating a discount at all. It sounds like BS to me.
Now a third-party releasing your screw up of a $50 but 50% code is another story.
Sounds ridiculous that they would need a 3rd party to create a discount code on their site.
Maybe the code was supposed to be limited to a different region like the US? Who knows, but I think a 50% off site wide generic coupon is ridiculous enough that it's likely an error somewhere.Would it not have been a targeted discount for a running club that is either sponsored by or highly valued customers of Garmin?

A running club could have hundreds of members.
They can't distinguish between a legit club member or yourself unless they contact all of us and look like chumps.
Even if this was for a club the amount of times the code could be redeemed should have been the same as the club members. Or a code per member.
@athk: Yeah fair call and maybe that's why they backtracked? I was banking on the same thing after the code was pulled but wasn't confident it'd happen!
@gigi85: I don't see why they couldn't have generated unique codes like I've seen in magazine inserts, especially when the stakes are quite high like 50% off.

I don't think codes work with 28degrees, doesn't with eBay codes so don't see how this would.

Fenix 6s Pro has shipped. A little buyers remorse, wondering if I should have gone the 6 Pro. My little girlyman wrists will be happy with the 6s though. Upgrading from a Vivoactive 3 which is similar dimensions and is about the right size for me.
Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the Fenix once you've had a good play - and how you find it in comparison to the Vivoactive range. Enjoy!
It arrived today. I possibly could have gone the 6 over the 6s Pro. The 6s Pro is slightly smaller but thicker compared the VA3 - display is same size and resolution. It feels heavier than the VA3, not a great deal though, the thickness probably adds to the feel.
An unneeded upgrade for me, but for the discount why not. Extra activities (Kayaking, MTB, Hiking), maps (I have a handheld GPS and phone), better waterproofing, improved battery, improved HRM, etc.
Lol I have tiny wrists too. What colour did you buy tho. All the 6s pro I saw where white and gold.

It fits me just fine but I have arms that are on the bigger side, I had a few guys who work for me very happy they ordered the regular 6 as the 6x was way too big for them. I had the 935 before and so did my mate he had smaller wrists and the 935 looked fine but my 6x looked wannabe gangsta on him so he is glad he got the 945 instead haha
I think it just fits my wrist and still looks good, I enjoy chunky watches though.
