Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm with LTE + Bluetooth $360 @ Optus (in-Store Only)

210

Took the wife today to purchase the Rose Gold LTE version at Optus on a 24-month plan, I asked about buying it outright and he stated it was $360, which has been the cheapest I've seen for a local purchase. The Bluetooth version has been $299 a fair bit recently in deals but I've not seen the LTE version that cheap.

I've just contacted an agent on Optus Chat and they couldn't help with this, it looks like it is in-store only then.

      Optus Store.

It wouldn't be a local price, that would be the Optus buy outright price.

  • By any chance - Did you ask about the 46mm Black LTE?

    • No, I wish I did though.

        Can always wear pink.

    • Went to nearby store yesterday, it is 396 for 46mm watch.

  • Not sure if it is the watch price $10 for 36 mths for the 42mm rose gold, and for the black at $11 for 36 mths.

    Or shd I go with active2 …

  • Locked to Optus?

With all due respect people shouldn't even be buying phones on 24 month plans let alone watches. Glad you find a great deal on it outright :)

With all due respect, that's an idiotic thing to say.

there is absolutely no reason why people should stay away from 24month plans if it's within their budget and if they plan on holding onto it for the next 2-3 years anyway. Most people don't upgrade their phones annually and Optus don't have ETF if you break contract rather you just pay the phone outright.

So what is your reasoning behind saying "people shouldn't even be buying phones on 24month plans"? Besides it being a trendy thing to say on ozb these days.

  • The Optus guy said in store that it's not available to buy outright?

    • I got one though, so I'm not sure what that means. We asked for a plan, then asked to buy it outright and it happened just like that.

      • Ahh yeah you bought a new plan, whereas I am already on a Optus plan. Oh well, I'll take my business elsewhere then lol

        • We already had two mobile phone plans and home internet on one account, we didn't sign up to a long term plan, rather the $5 a month share SIM. As to how it actually works out on Optus end, I'm not sure.

@FabMan: Hmmm. I'll see if I can do the same. Thx for replying :)

Can confirm that the price outright is back up to $499, just went into my local store and asked in person.
