  • I have used my free amazon Prime trial in the past.
Will I be able to join and pay Prime now to get this deal and then cancel Prime before the next billing cycle?
    These speakers looked tempting.

    • Sign up for a new amazon account?

      • Great, I might sign up a new account using a new email address.
Anyone have any thoughts on this pair of speakers??

        • Elac's are very highly regarded. Have a look on YouTube for reviews of this particular model. Also see the Amazon reviews. Andrew Jones is speaker "royalty" and he designed these.

          • @swalloweda: Just going through the reviews, a few reviewers got them when they are on sale at US$150 = AUD $220.
Is it still good buy at $356 knowing it can be had at a much lower price?

            • @he88388: Yeah these speakers have been cheaper before, but because of it they didn’t get free shipping (which is roughly $160) and I know what I’d rather pay less of :p

Also make sure you’re looking at 6.2, not 5.2 reviews

            • @he88388: Hifi is something that we pay "Aussie Tax" for. Things I'd love to have are often 2 or even 3 times the price retail here. I'd doubt if there's anywhere you could get them in Aus approaching this price. I'd love to be wrong tho!

  • +1

Was hoping these were going to pop up after seeing the 5.2 deal.

At this price I'll pick these up now, and wait for a second hand NAD d3020 to pop up. Desktop system sorted.

  • Do they use banana plugs?

    • Yes

  • $558.97 now

    $356.75 was a good price
