OzB Exclusive: $1 Bonus Cashback with No Minimum Spend at Any Store @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, Excludes Woolies GCs)

4500

A long time in the making, but finally got to my 3500th deal with another small gift for all OzBargainers.

Please ensure you carefully read the terms below and that you first activate the offer prior to shopping as you normally would via Cashrewards.

Thanks for all the support as always. Hope you and your loved ones continue to have a fabulous festive season. Enjoy :)

Bonus offer T&Cs:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $1 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the link in this post, then shop as normal via any store on Cashrewards, excluding Woolworths Gift Cards.
  • Transaction must be made between 8:00AM AEDT 29/12/19 and 11:59PM AEDT 29/12/19.
  • $1 bonus is eligible when making any purchase with no minimum spend.
  • $1 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 29/02/2020.
  • $1 bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Transaction is also valid if made in-store at any participating store via a linked Visa/Mastercard.
  • $1 bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account (separate purchases from different stores don’t qualify for additional bonuses).
  • $1 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Q&As from previous posts:

(Q) Can I activate the offer via the Cashrewards App?
(A) No. The offer needs to be activated on a desktop or mobile browser. Activation via the App is not possible. You can shop via the App once the offer is activated.

(Q) Can I use eBay with a promo code and still be eligible?
(A) No. Transactions using promo codes on eBay are ineligible for cashback. All normal cashback terms must be adhered to for all stores.

(Q) A few stores show 0% cashback (unavailable). Can I buy through these and still be eligible?
(A) No. Only stores that generate cashback are eligible for the offer (excluding Woolies Gift Cards).

(Q) Does this work on Amazon and eBay if I use gift cards as payment for my purchase?
(A) Yes. They are eligible.

(Q) My purchase tracked, but I didn’t get the bonus. Where is it?
(A) Bonus will be added at a later date, as per the terms above.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $10 each.

Congrats TA. And thanks for the deal.

  • +37

Too much effort for a dollar. I'm still waiting for my other cashback which apparently they say I didn't jump through all the hoops they specify which I did.

    • +17

Pretty sure you just spent more effort complaining about about the deal than what it would have taken to activate it 😂

      • +5

Yup just activated mine in less than 5 seconds!

      • +16

Activating does not mean that you will be getting the cashback. When it fails to register when you make your purchase that’s where all the fun begins.

        • +7

Not activating means you definitely won't be getting the cashback.

My experience with CR has been solid, and the only issue I ever had was sorted by TA very quickly.

    • +3

Too much effort for a dollar.

The two month wait for the dollar makes it a lot worse.

One of the really brilliant things about the recent Shopback boxing day promotions was the super quick approval process. Both my Catch.com & Chemist Warehouse cashbacks will be approved by 11 Jan !!! This makes the customer experience so much better.

The lengthy 2 or 3 month wait for cashback approvals is the absolute worst thing about the cash back sites. If more sites had quick approvals, then I would certainly use them a lot more.

      • +5

i think the clearance time is up to the retailer

        • +1

Yup 100%. Some stores are more sensitive about fraud than others.

Instant approval time would be very easily exploitable.

          • @Clear: And the abusive exploit would almost certainly be a top "Deal"

    • +2

I'm still waiting for my $5 back during the November offer. I received an email saying get $5 back if I shop before 26th Nov, which I did. My Ebay purchase is showing in Cash Rewards (although strangely it doesn't show how much savings I'm going to get.. apparently it's "pending") but no $5.

      • +6

I believe you’re referring to this deal. Please read the terms. The bonus payment date was clearly outlined in the OP and your email offer on click-through. Thanks.

Bonus will be credited to your Cashrewards account by 31/01/2020.

        • +8

Ok sorry about that, must have missed that. Still, would have been nice to get an email confirming I'll actually get the bonus even if it is dependent on the confirmation period for purchases.

  • +2

Would be nice if it is atleast $2.

  • +6

    Come on atleast make $2

  • Last time I purchased something in Chemist Warehouse for $5 (under a $2 cashback promo with $5 min spend), but it's only tracked at $4.54. Will I still be eligible for the cashback? Concerned that it may happen again this time if my item price is too close to the min spend.

    • +2

You’ll be fine. This was in the terms:

Sales may report to Cashrewards ex GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.

Also, there is no min spend with this new promo. Enjoy the day :)

    • Edited as correct answer above

  • +5

    $3
    $2
    $1
    Thanks TA!

  • Amazon included?

    • +8

Nah mate it’s randomly excluded for no reason and kept completely secret.

    • +1

      No amazon left.

      . #FireSale

  • Up vote for the 3500th deal

  • +26

Lol another 50 billion upvotes for $1. Nice one ozb

    • Lol

    • +6

I honestly don't understand it. Ozbargainers to crazy over $1 cashbacks.
This would actually be an interesting study for someone studying the behaviours of people around the 'perception' of saving money

      • +2

I do wonder if a random salesperson stops you on the road and offers this deal with instant $1 cashback in hand, how many people will actually take the deal.

        • 🙋‍♀️

        • +2

Very true. None of us will take detour to save $1 to buy a thing, but will spend all our time to find something to buy.

      • I wouldn't make a purchase just for a $1 cashback. But if you were planning to buy something and activate through cashback then $1 for 5 seconds of effort is worth it. Only takes a few seconds to click the offer.

    • -2

My upvote is for TA - no matter how small the $ value, TA's posts mostly (if not always) are credible!

  • -2

    Congrats and well done, TA!

    • -3

What idiot negged this? God this site has some (profanity) on it.

  • +2

but finally got to my 3500th

congrats, but this definitely feels more like a 3498th kind of deal… a 3500th deal should be more than $1 ;)

  • Thank you for all the amazing deals. 3500 deals is an incredible effort - congrats TA!

  • BRIAN: There's no pleasing some people.

EX-LEPER: That's just what Jesus said, sir.

  • Congratulations TA! I’ve signed in but don’t see any activate button!? Or signing in automatically activated the offer?

  • +1

Personally wouldn’t even bother to bend over and pick up $1 off the street.

    • +9

I pick up empty bottles for 10 cents refund. Have made hundreds so far, tax free.

      • +1

        HELLO ATO…

    • +2

Easier to pick up from the streets than bending over for this.

      • +3

Pretttty sure I know what dm01 wrote LOL.

  • I think TA it's too much the Pensioner Club will upvote 50 c even 20 c :)

This item on Amazon is $0.01 with free shipping.

    • +1

Nice find , normally always have something to buy but with that couldn't be bothered looking lol .

    • Choose cash at checkout

    • How did you even find that?!

    • Great pick up. Thanks. 99 cents profit. Party time.

    • Just need to reply to their email and say they can mark the item shipped, but not send anything.

    • +2

Congrats OzBargain, this is now the #1 Best Seller in Stationery & Office Products.

      • +1

Glad I could help the community

  • +8

Congrats TA for the 3500 post.

Shame on the people who complain about how little the freebie is, if you don’t like the free money you don’t have to speak.

    • Free speech costs $1, apparently.

  • +4

Congrats on the 3500th post TA!
Personally prefer this more than the $2 off $5. Would've loved it to be more than a dollar though but hey it's getting something for free!!
But not sure what I can buy for $1 🤔

Edit: found a beef noodle cup on Amazon not needing a min qty here

Also found seaweed rice crackers if that's up your alley

  • Congratulations and many thanks for all your posts. I just wonder how much money all the people have saved with your all your deals ?

  • Cheers TA!

  • Congratulations on your 3500th deal

  • +3

Activated and had a quick browse on eBay but the multi-price listings eg $1 - $10 so you can't see the actual $1 items really sucks, how's that still a thing? :/

    • Maybe ask someone at eBay?

  • +8

Happy 3,500th Tightarse. You don't look a day over 2,000.

  • +1

Nice deal, even if its only a buck. Only issue is I have nothing i want to buy :(

  • All that effort for $1…

  • The amount of entitlement in this thread is incredible… Good for you if you're willing to pass up $1 in the street. Cool story bro.

Lots of people have it a lot worse. If this helps someone out there it's worth a pos vote.

Remember a vote doesn't mean a purchase, and certainly takes less time than typing out a comment.

However many votes this gets is irrelevant without statistics that show how many people get incentivised to purchase something anyway, especially crap they don't need. 😂

  • +1

So this is gonna sound weird… But I've never signed up to Cash rewards or any other program.

    Is it worth it?

I'm guessing it's another big brother stalking thing.. similar to Flybuys and Woolworths

I'm not too fussed about that, but like how much more effort is it to first search for whoever and then activate the deal prior to shopping?

Or do you not have to do this normally and the activation thing is only with special offers like this?

    • +3

Activation for this stuff is easy, I do everything on my phone and have no problems.
As far as cashrewards and shopback go I can only tell you my experience.
My partner and I both signed up(quickly and for free) this time last year. And without changing our shopping habits too much, other than clicking through these sights first, I have earnt $300 and $250 respectively, and my partner has earnt around $250 and $200.
So between us $1000! We bought ourselves a kitchenaid for xmas using this money, and also earnt another $40 cashback for this purchase. Highly recommend looking into it.

      • +2

I cashed out my cashback balances a few weeks back and used it to buy myself a new camera lens as a present!

        It comes in handy.

      • Damnnn … that's some serious cash

Wish i had asked about it earlier :(

        • +1

It's also very good for holidays when there are cashback bonuses. E.g. 10% cashback on accommodation!

  • Please don't let the entitlement by some people get to you TA. Cheers for the deal and all the effort you've gone to for the other 3499!

  • +1

Absolute legend! Always helping the ozb community.

  • Thanks TA.

  • Does this include Subscribe & Save purchases on Amazon?

    • No.

      • -1

very suck. need find something else now lol

On 29/2/2020 at 0900, I will be at a location in Australia. I will post the location one hour before hand and there will be a 30 minute window to claim a free dollar.

    T&C

To be eligible for the AUD $1 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via replying to this comment.
Reply must be made between 8:00AM AEDT 29/12/19 and 11:59PM AEDT 29/12/19.
You must then click your heels together three times and wish very hard for $1 (try to visualise the gold coin, kangaroos and QEII).
$1 bonus is eligible when making no purchase with no spend.
$1 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at any time. It is a real $1 coin.
Free dollar deal is valid if made online via desktop browser, mobile phone / browser or other device where you can reply to my post.
$1 bonus is limited to one per OxBargain account
$1 bonus is ineligible if member fails to meet at the defined location at the defined time
If I run out of dollar coins, payment will be made by PayPal f&f.
Fraudulent activity will result in reward being forfeited.

  • +3

I can't be bothered with $1, not enough incentive.

    • It takes 5 seconds to activate the offer.

      • nothing to buy.

  • -7

    Joke post

  • I understand that this doesn't work with ebay promo code but will it work on amazon using promo code?

  • I may get something at Amazon

  • -5

Not worth the effort putting in a claim 2 months later to get my $1

    • -1

Then don't spend 5 seconds clicking it before your purchase. Not worth a neg.

      • +2

Cashrewards has always been hit and miss with their payouts (As others mentioned above). I never got my cashback for the $5 caltex deal plus a few others. Waste of time and effort chasing up chump change

  • Has anyone tried clicking the "random" referral link about? It gives me an error on the CashRewards site.

Not sure if its a problem with OzBargain or CashRewards itself.

    • +2

      No issues on my end.

  • +4

The 5min I spent reading this is worth more than the Deal already.

  • I activated the offer and made a purchase but it's not showing on my CR account. May be because I have different email addresses for OzBargain and CashRewards. Do I need to have the same address for both?
