Terms & Conditions: This offer is valid for a limited time only and subject to availability. In order to qualify for the promotional credit, you must: (1) purchase at least $50 in eligible Amazon.com.au Gift Cards ("GCs") in a single order at Amazon.com.au between 12:01am (AEDT) on 26 December 2019 and 11:59 PM (AEDT) on 27 December 2019 (“Promotional Period”); and (2) enter the promotional code "W5CFPG2JXDZ8" in the "Gift Cards & Promotional Codes" box when you check out. Amazon.com.au Gift Card purchases must total at least $50 in combined value, and the Amazon.com.au Gift Card(s) must be purchased in a single order at Amazon.com.au during the Promotional Period. Amazon.com.au Gift Cards are subject to Terms and Conditions. Taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges, if applicable, do not apply when determining the minimum purchase amount. For qualifying purchases, a promotional credit of $10.00 will be automatically applied to the Amazon.com.au account that was used to purchase the Amazon.com.au Gift Card(s) after the qualifying order has been completed or, where applicable, the order has shipped. An email notification will be sent to the primary email address associated with the Amazon.com.au account used to purchase the Amazon.com.au Gift Card(s) within two (2) business days of the qualifying purchase being completed, or if delivered by mail, when shipped. Limit one promotional credit per Amazon.com.au account. This promotional credit entitles any customer to $10.00 off their purchase of “eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU. “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global Store) even if “fulfilled by Amazon”, digital purchases such as e-books, products that are not in new condition such as renewed products, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates. Amazon AU’s standard delivery rates and policies apply to any purchase made pursuant to the offer. The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer. If you return any item purchased using the promotional credit, Amazon AU will only refund the price actually paid for the item (that is, less the value of the promotional credit) and the promotional credit will be invalidated. The promotional credit is not transferable and may not be resold, redeemed for or applied toward the purchase of any gift cards sold at Amazon.com.au. The maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is $10.00. Offer ends at 11:59 PM (AEDT) on 27 December 2019. The promotional credit expires at 11:59 PM (AEDT) on 1 March 2020.

  • What's the assurance we'll get the $10? I have applied the code and bought but nothing indicates that I am getting that promotional credit..

    • +2

Takes 2 days. Or call them and they can apply it over the phone. Why would Amazon want to screw people over

  • -7

It's not a great value if you can already buy Amazon eGift cards at 3-5% through Suncorp Rewards anyway.

    • +1

This is 17% discount and you are saying it is not as good as 3-5% discount?

      • -5

To be used by 31st March, 2020 and can be used only for items sold and shipped by Amazon AU. Too man restrictions in addition to slow delivery.

        • ok if you already had something to buy.

        • I bet you will buy $10 worth's of stuff but the due date and selling by Amazon.

          Just my 2 cents.

    • +2

      16.7% is a lot more than 3-5%…

    • +5

To make $10 you would need to spend between $300-500 according to your 3-5% vs only $50 in this deal and no need to have a Suncorp account.

So yes, this is a good deal.

      in addition to slow delivery

Umm okay, they are lightning fast for every order shipped by Amazon AU to me, averaging 2 days and if you really feel so dissatisifed, then why do you keep posting Amazon AU deals on here for?

      • -1

man, you slapped her/her so loud! :D

  • "Status: Authorising Payment" 15min after I placed the order
    Anyone encountered the same issue?

    • Likely they're going to call you soon

      • +1

Lol. Do they call again if you accidentally hang up on them? I fumbled the phone when the call came. Unfortunately can't call them back cause the number is from Equatorial Guniea and my mobile doesn't do international.

Update: Gift Card came through anyway 5 mins later. Now to join the lines of ppl waiting for promo credit to come in.

  • I got the e-gift card within couple of minutes of order (Prime member / single account).
Now waiting for the $10 promo credit.

  • Has the code expired? I am getting error message 'the promotional code you entered has already been redeemed'

    • Got the same error

    • I don't know why it didn't work for you but I have placed an order right now and it worked.

  • No Shopback 12% also?
Wondering why is there still a cash back link up top?

  • Just ordered and worked for me also

  • Says promo code applied. Thanks

When will we get the $10?

    • read the original post. they made the relevant part bold, especially for you.

      • The original post says when the gift card will be delivered, but people get the egift cards instantly. The problem is it's confusing when you get the gift card amount without the promotional credit and the OP doesn't say anything about the promotional credit taking longer to be delivered than the regular gift card. I contacted amazon and they told me to wait for the promotional credit.

  • -1

Got the $50 within 2hours still waiting for the $10 tho

  • +2

Lol! People will be posting the same comments non-stop without taking a moment to read either the deal description or the comments. 😂

  • +2

12 hours later & two of my accounts are still locked & stuck in the 'verifying your information' stage. 😓

    • -1

One account got unlocked overnight, without me doing anything. (I had ordered other things from this account in the past.) I managed to buy another gift card & apply the code, 😋 after using another new credit card to pay.

For my other account (a brand new one), they want me to email them a recent card statement, and then they'll verify again within 24 hours. 🙄

  • -3

Can you get cash back for t his?

Apologies. I didn't see the comment on first page. Looks like no cash back.

    • You'll get cashback (on Shopback) when you use the gift card to buy something on Amazon.

Getting a cashback when you buy the gift card & then a second cashback when you use it to buy something would be just silly.

      • shopback works on amazon giftcards? dammit!

  • Oh wow. I entered in the code and it worked. Thanks OP!

  • thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP, got the $50 GF sent immediately, two clicks and it's applied to my Amazon account balance.
    Await $10 promotional credit…

  • Can you use the $50 giftcard + 10 credit + extra cash to buy something in a single transaction?

    • I think the answer is yes.

I've been able to do this with other Amazon credits that I've received in the past ($10 promo credit for using App).

The conditions for using the credit are:

This promotional credit entitles any customer to $10.00 off their purchase of “eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU. “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global Store) even if “fulfilled by Amazon”, digital purchases such as e-books, products that are not in new condition such as renewed products, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates.

  • I wanted to buy smash with the promo credit. Chatted with support and they applied $20 credit staight away.

    • You received $20?

      • you get another $10 credit for purchasing a nintendo product. Just saw it now

        • Yup nintendo and this promo.

    • I want to do the same. Just chatted with them but they would not apply the $10 credit for me :(

  • -2

This for the ppl whining about the free $10 credit.

    • LOL

  • Can you use the promotional credit and gift card to buy prime membership?

    • Read all comments from page one, already answered

  • +2

Tried to buy the gc on both accounts, both were cancelled due to security measure stuff. Advised to reorder but not able to use the same code as it has been used though not used. Tried to explain this multiple times to them, but they have failed to understand the issue. Sigh

    • +1

      Just an FYI

"The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer."

  • Thanks to OP. It is like you can buy $X + $10 with $50 spend. Is it right to say that the best outcome is to get $60 value of stuff? But the boxing day deal will be missed though.

  • Got one :) Ty

  • Got an email this morning confirming the $10 credit has been added to my account.

    • -1

      Same :)

      • Ahhh wtf I must have bumped the neg button. How to I reverse?

        • Find me a flux capacitor and I'll help you

    • Not yet email for me

      • +1

The $10 is probably there. Add an item to your cart and proceed to the payment page and you might see it applied to the item, and then you can cancel the order.

Edit: Weird! The email has just arrived after I've done that above test. lol

    • Same here, happy with free money. The only and best $50 I spent on boxing day with $60 outcome.

      • +1

Also remember if you use this Amazon credit, you may won't get cashback. So order some small item.

    • I didn't get the email but the $10 credit is there. I have added an item to my cart and it showed up when I proceeded to the last page before finalizing the order and then deleted the item. Happy camper! :D

Edit: The email has just arrived.

      • Correct its there already but no email.

  • I received an email for $10 credit in my account :)

  • -7

Got 3 credits on 3 accounts. Thanks OP. 😜

(No email as yet for the 4th & 5th account is still locked.)

  • Still haven't received mine.

  • Got my $10 email

  • Still waiting for the $10.

  • Received mine.

  • +1

Thanks. Got mine about an hour ago. Along with other amazon credits from late deliveries, and credits for discounted items after I’d bought them earlier, managed to buy an Echo show 5 , Total cost from my bank account…. $10. … Love amazon customer service

  • +1

I just noticed when I called up for them to manually add the $10 promo which they did 2 days later I got emailed with another $10 promo credit. So $20 promo credit all up

  • I got the email but can't see the credit. Anybody else?

  • FYI - $10 credit can only be applied to items Shipped and Sold by Amazon

    • me too, I got the e-mail but I can't find it anywhere under my account information. I can see my gift card but not my $10! :(

Do we need to wait few more days or where do I check whether this $10 has been applied correctly?

      • +1

Add an item to basket that is shipped and sold by Amazon. Go through the checkout and on the last page before placing your order, you should see that the $10 credit has been applied.

        • Ahh yep. That's done it.

  • btw guys, you don’t need to use the Amazon credit for the next purchase, you can deselect it and use it when you want

    • Is there a way to deselect the gift card balance and use the Amazon credit first? The $10 credit expires in about 2 months so I wanna use that first, unless something I want that costs more than $60 shows up soon. I made the mistake of applying the gift card to my account so it shows up whenever I add something to the cart.

      • +1

Yes. Under payment method, just select the promo credit. The promo credit should be the first to apply anyway (the system auto chooses the credit over CC/GC). Otherwise, deselect the CC or GC and select the credit.

        • When I go to the payment method in my account the debit/credit card option is at the top, and underneath it is the GC. The promo credit isn't listed there at all. But a day ago I added an item that was over $50 and it showed up there before I removed the item from the target, just to check if it's there or not. The only issue is that if I add an item that costs under $50 then only the GC shows up, and I wanna use the promo credit first. Kinda confusing.

          • @AussieDaddy: Thanks for the warning. I'll make sure not to redeem the giftcard before using the $10 credit.

  • Went to purchase something and looks like my $10 is gone..! Definitely fulfilled by Amazon..

    • "eligible items” shipped and sold by Amazon AU. “Eligible items” excludes products sold by third party sellers including Amazon US (Amazon Global Store) even if “fulfilled by Amazon”,

    • I second wekimekigugudan's comment above. I've just added an Amazon Echo 5 to my account and the $10 is there.

    • Hmm! I haven't used that $10 yet and now that I've tried to check it isn't there even after I added an item that's sold and shipped by Amazon AU.

      • I also did not see mine.

        • I've just called them and it turns out it has been automatically applied to an order I placed on the 31st. I didn't want to use it with that order as it will disqualify it from the 12% CashBack promotion that was on then. I saw the order showed some promotions applied, which were more than $10, so I didn't realize they added the $10 to that. Kinda confusing and irritating.

          • @AussieDaddy: mine is still on the account. every cashback promo i just select my debit card which auto deselects the gift card and promo credit.

    • joedingy
me too. What do we do?

  • Ok Just checked. It appears that is your GC covers the cost of purchase the credit does not show but if it does not than the credit can be seen.
