Xiaomi Mi 9 Global 6GB RAM - 64GB Blue $509.99, Black $549.99 | 128GB Black $629.99 + Shipping (Direct Import) @ Kogan

120

The premium Xiaomi phone is currently on sale and would be a better purchase than the Mi Mix 3 as it has wireless charging but does come with a notch. Other difference is no 5G but that is a limited service in most places.

Flagship specs for a budget price.

64GB Black $549.99 + shipping.
128GB Black $629.99 + shipping.
64GB Blue $509.99 + shipping.

It does come with IR blaster since my wife already has it.

      • Ah. Kogan didn't list it or I'm blind

  • Great phone with very decent battery life.
If I really have to find some minuses, the only downfalls for me are:

    Phone hardware:
When I video and walk around with the phone there is visible distortion

    Miui:
you have to disable adds, once disabled all is good (typically miui)
    Updates will roll out slowish

But I used miui for the last 4 years, so can live with it easy

    • I've only ever seen ads on the music app on my xiaomi. Where did you get ads?

      • +1

Cleaner, file manager, downloads, security scan, launcher and a couple more
        Can all be disabled

so miui apps. thanks. ill try disable

    • What do you mean video distorts? The phone doesn't record video footage well at all?

      • Great video, but I noticed jitter/distortion when I walked around on a couple of visa, normally I never take visa so could be a rookie/settings error. Send video to Xiaomi but never got a reply

        • Visa=videos

  • Double post

    • Other deal is sold by Heybattery through Kogan and different prices. This is sold by Kogan.

      • Darn….I'm messing up today….was marking my previous comment as a double post….not your post

All good man, forgive yourself,….Jesus did lol.

  • There's sellers on eBay offering them for <$500. Any reason I should buy from Kogan instead?

    • EBay cases can only be started within first three months, not to say a seller won't respond if you message them. Also PayPal protection is only for 6 months. Likely Kogan will be in business far longer than an EBay seller and needs to abide by ACL while an eBay seller doesn't really have to.
I would rather go to JB and pay a few extra if they sold it just to make sure I purchase from an AU seller for the extra protection.

      • Fair enough - thanks!
