I think it's $9 on that day.
If only valid for Cinebuzz Club then it could be easy to sign up too!
Cinebuzz..is pretty cool..(FREE - which is a bonus)
http://www.greaterunion.com.au/cinebuzz/
Everytime I go to the movies, I normally just flash my card and that enters me into their comps..never won anything like usual..but still guess you have to be in to win it.
(i.e current comps: see Cinebuzz Club Offers & Specials http://www.greaterunion.com.au/movies/whatsnew.asp)
1)Flash your Cinebuzz card when you see any movie between 29/05/2008 and 25/06/2008 to go in the draw to win a Plasma TV, X-Box 360 and The Incredible Hulk video game.
2)Flash your Cinebuzz card when you see any movie between 12/06/2008 and 9/07/2008 to go in the draw to win a Sony Ericsson cyber-shot phone, Walkman and PS3!
Cinebuzz receives a big thumbs down from me. Why?
It is an extra card / identifier you have to carry in your wallet. Why? So you can enter some competitions?
The cinebuzz $9 ticket offers are only valid if you have the membership card. Hence there is very little chance that somebody could sign up and have a card delivered before viewing a movie. (NB: You can buy online but you have to pay an expensive booking fee per ticket). A much easier way is to have an Entertainment book or somehow pre-purchase your tickets cheaply.
Conclusion: Whilst these $9 movie offers for B-grade movies are nice for card holders, in general the cinebuzz club is lame.
I believe when you sign up, you receive a temporary card (print out) until one is mailed to you.
Too bad i didn't go see it though.
Yups, when you sign up they'll give you Temporary Cinebuzz Card ready to use!
Online Booking fee is $1.00. (Which i thought was reasonable - especially considering the movie was only $9.00 to see….total cost $10.00..seems okay).
Just in case no one knows how to get cheaper cinema tickets :
"Screen Savers" are sold at Greater Union cinemas for $115/10 adult tickets. Additional limitations are that you cannot use them after 5pm on Saturday.
"Entertainment Book" can be bought from most charitable/fund raising organisations (eg. The Anti-Cancer Council etc). In it there are vouchers for $10.50 movie tickets at Hoyts. These books RRP is $60 however they contain heaps of various vouchers for restaurants etc.
The cinebuzz club is fine — however it is quite restrictive to certain movies at certain dates. Additionally there is a small chance that everyone in your cinema group are cinebuzz members.
With Cinebuzz club, you always have the chance to see it 1st!
Thanks POWERevolution for the link…got the nieces coming up during the holidays and have shown them the trailer @ apple..and they can't wait to see it…will unfortunately miss this deal and will probably see it on a cheapskate tuesday. Thanks again
Cinebuzz Club screenings are only available for members of The Cinebuzz Club.
