Delter Coffee Press is the first coffee maker deigned from the ground up, to solve one of the biggest coffee brewing problems-agitation. Uncontrolled agitation results in bitter coffee and inconsistent extraction. Delter’s unique Jet-Seal keeps the brew water and coffee grounds separated preventing uncontrolled agitation. Water contact is activated by actuating the Jet-Seal with pressure, offering complete control over water flow and agitation. The result is an exceptional cup like no other. Less bitterness with more clarity.

A unique Jet-Seal separates the brew water and coffee – stopping unwanted agitation and offering next-level brewing possibilities. The Delter Coffee Press is the first coffee maker to use a process we call “Injection Brewing“, a completely new brew method we developed after countless hours of experiments. This works by infusing hot water into the coffee grounds under pressure, for improved control and consistency.

Filters: Compatible with the Delter Fitlers, Ten Mile Disk and AeroPress compatible filters

Designed from the ground up? It looks like a not so cheap Aeropress clone to me.

That doesn't give you a reason to neg it?
Here's a bit of research if you'd like to know the difference, seems the Delter is Aus made: https://alternativebrewing.com.au/delter-coffee-maker-vs-aer…

          you're

Now sit down and do your homework or I'll tell your mother…

    • The Aeropress and Delter don't even use the same general brewing method.

The Aeropress is an infusion brewer. Coffee and water sit together in contact for a period of time - then we 'press' it through a filter just to remove the coffee and get only the infused water. This is similar to a French Press.

The Delter Press are labelling their process as 'new' called 'injection' or something but that's probably garbage. The thing is that it's closer to a pour-over coffee like V60. Probably somewhere between pour-over and espresso. A pour-over with mild pressure? Clean water is pushed through the coffee puck and exits - it doesn't sit and brew like in the Aeropress.

The two devices look similar, but the way they actually brew coffee is very different.

No idea which I prefer as I don't have a Delter yet - but I do love my Aeropress.

This is pretty good and makes a nice cup of coffee, it is a bit more fiddly to use than an aeropress though

Anyone wondering, I feel this is more akin to a traditional plunger, than something like the AeroPress.
Not saying it's bad quality coffee, but you can't really compare it with a barista coffee or machine coffee.

Personally the biggest downside with these products, is the safety issue of having almost boiling water above the cup and having to push down. It just doesn't feel very stable and you need to trust your cup.

Has it's use case, camping with a billy to boil water and no power, but it's actually a lot more work than a pod machine or many other coffee machines.
Still need to grind beans if you want to make the most, still need power and a kettle, still need to clean.

I have one of these and love it. As other have said, it is slightly more fiddly than an aeropress, but I usually get a lighter flavour and clearer coffee.

If you drink your coffee black and use some good/interesting beans, then I think this tastes better than 90% of coffees from cafes and espresso machines.

If you drink your coffee with milk, then this will be a disappointing purchase for you.

    • +1 for the explanation. I have both this and an aero and personally I don't like this at all. I think it's a lot more fiddly and the way the water pulls through with consecutive plunges is very inconsistent. Your explanation makes sense though. If you can get the hang of it and want this style of coffee then it might work for you. In fact I use this to make tea, using actual tea not tea bags, and it works well for that and indeed you can get a nice subtle taste from it.

Definitely recommend this. I own both aeropress and delter press. The delter definitely gives a cleaner less harsh coffee than the aeropress. I use the aeropress at work as it is less finicky and need to be on the run all the time.
