[WA] $399 Walk through Your Future House Floor Plan in Real Size to True 1:1 Scale at Walktheplan.com.au Previously $499

121

Most of us cannot visualise and proportionate just by looking at House plans. When house is build and ready then it's too late to go through the hassle and expense of moving walls half a meter left or right and swapping areas and rooms around, so people are forced to live with what's been built, not being 100% happy with the finished product.

WALK THE PLAN brings an innovative idea combined with technology for the first time in Western Australia, which allows you to literally walk through your future dream home by displaying house plans of real size onto the floor.

As the house plan is displayed within a facility of over 800sqm, you are able to position furniture and temporary walls to allow you to foresee room spacing and identify any potential future planning issues prior to construction of your dream home.

Walk the Plan based in Wangara is offering cheapest option to walk through of the floor plan in real size at incredibly low $399.
Also offering services on weekends and after hours to suit busy families,

      Hello Nurrie,
we project the entire house plan on a large warehouse in Wangara in true scale 1:1 Scale so you get exact dimensions and sizing perspective, With VR you will get artist impression on how your house will look not the sizing.

        What?

What about mobile VR headsets like you have at gaming warehouses.

You could just put people in a render and let them physically walk around.

        The real walls aren’t necessary

        • +2

we can add feature to our system to provide VR functionality, but due to time & cost constraint to develop VR Render for the individual plans and all the floor plans are copy right by the builders/designers hence most of them will not provide floor plan files in CAD which makes it more difficult,
with our service we provide quick turn around of less than 24 Hrs,

        • +4

I get how fun VR is, but feel that physically walking around would be so much better.

          • @PR0r: You can walk around with VR

    This seems lazy.

For $400 I'll 3d map your ideal house, and let you walk around it in VR

      Hello Salmando,
There are various products available in the market to visualise the floor plans, with our concept you get the exact spacial awareness, you can place real furniture around the house , can also drive car in garage, you can not do that with 3D or VR,
If the boundary is drawn up on the plan than you can see the exact size of backyard space you will have.

      • Actually 3D/VR can, it's just you who can't. If I recall you use a projector to display the plans within the warehouse, slap some walls up and then it's up the clients to value add with furniture etc.

You could easily convert those floor plans into a CAD or whatever 3D file-type you like, pick a program (Unreal lets say), import into Unreal (as they have some great free architecture programs) for 3D/VR. Render that and let people wander your warehouse/their house in VR, hell technically you could serve it to their phones and you wouldn't even need warehouse.

If they want to add furniture, adjust plans or features; they could probably do it within the app. But more likely come back to you for a second pass.

I remember speaking to the owner (guy in the video on their website) & was quoted $1k during Perth Home Show 2 years ago. Seems like it has joined the freefall like Perth home prices :)

      Hello Manu,
Yes initial pricing was high and after looking at Perth residential market and various feedback from our clients we have reduced prices, so its cost effective for everyone, including purchasing apartment/Development OFF THE PLAN.

btw, I'm not in WA, just want to give you guy a compliment :)

Thank you very much for your feedback much appreciated :)

  • It looks like this tries to help to feel how big is the each space on the drawing but the real feeling after construction is totally different(I felt generally smaller due to the walls than on the drawing plan). I guess this is only good for measuring your furniture size.

    • Hello Solpiry,
Yes real feeling can be little different in real house due to ceiling, but our concept gives very clear perspective on the sizes and layout of the house, which you can not get from A4 or A3 Plans, and can be really useful for home builder who can not just visualize from the paper plans, we have had all most 95% percent of the clients have made some changes to their house plans after walk through.

This product applies to me as I'm in Perth and am in the middle of signing contracts to build. However, at $400, I would rather just double check everything with a tape measure in my own home. Sorry, it's a great idea just not value for money. As others mentioned above, if we had VR involved it would make it much more worth while.

Yep, decimal point needs to be moved one place to the left…

    • Hello Zalur,
projection is set up in large warehouse and our projection area is 600 SQM there are various costs associated to services, single variation costs to approved plans would be way more than $400.

"When house is build and ready then it's too late to go through the hassle and expense of moving walls half a meter left or right and swapping areas and rooms around"

    #WHOKNEW #RIDICULOUS

    • 99% houses build in WA are bricked and not stud walls, hence it becomes costly and time consuming to change room sizes at later stage.

      • Which is why nobody does it, which is why it's such a stupid reason to give.

        • sometimes reality is way different than what we know.

Wow, I have to say this is a hilarious business model for the price. It might be worth it for say $100…but literally all you are doing is projecting a single picture onto a floor at 1:1. With all the advancements in VR/AR I am shocked this is the best someone could come up with…

      Hi cjb
do you have a business you are running? have you build a house from the plan? now there are 7 companies doing floor plan projections in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth). I dont think they would spend thousands of dollars in setting up and running if business model was hillarious.

child care services for a day is more than $100 dollars these days.
with 3D or VR can you really know how big is 2.97 meters?
