We're zoo members so coming anyway, but they were handing them out at the gate to everyone

Mission Australia are a charity, so is this free entry meant for families doing it tough?
They were offering them to all families at the gate
warm sunny day - all the animals will be hiding, likely asleep.
best to go in august - cooler, frolicking around. just be prepared to give the talk if the animals are being frisky.
It's 25c in Melbourne… my house in Brisbane was 33c last night… Sounds like the perfect place to go right now
plus humidity in Brisbane means it feels even hotter.

We're already zoo members but offered a free ticket at the gate. They were offering everyone free tickets.
As zoo members we got a free ice-cream, face paint and carousel rides for each of us.
Can someone ask at the gate how long they plan to be there? Planning on going this afternoon.
