Similar to the BF deal but $4 extra this time. Still a great deal if you need to replace your old controller.
Offer ends 29/12/19.
Edit: According to 1 EB staff member it's all colours. Check with your local store however to avoid disappointment.

Which store are you planning to go have the sunset orange in stock?
I actually got it from Harvey Normans in the end for $48. Thought it would keep my controller for $18
Sunset orange is overrated, it's all about the Berry Blue :D
Sunset Orange, Out of Stock. Sigh :(

What would you get if just trading in for credit and not towards another controller?
May be $30?
Couldn't you just buy a fake one and trade it in?
Im sure they are supposed to check them (power on etc) but they don't always.
I guess they would know fakes. Good deal if you have one with worn out batteries
they asked for ID when i traded mine in and also charged $3 extra for worn thumb sticks
for worn thumb sticks
Did they expect it to be unused ?
I wish I bought the purple before they sold out /stopped making it
Ohhh man really I wanted that one as well!
user name checks out…
Does anyone have an idea how much Xbox 1 controllers trade in at?
My PS4 controllers still work fine so probably not going to trade it in…
I seriously don't get what EB are going to do with all these used controllers for the PS4.
Probably sell them for $50 in periods where there’s no great sale on or bundle them with second hand consoles.
They don’t need to sell them for a lot to make money. The controllers are going for $49 right now on Amazon and those prices pop up often enough. I imagine they’re making some money as such at that price still. Considering you need to pay $29 to take advantage of this then they’re probably turning a profit if they can sell the controllers for more than $20 - $30 which they will.
EB will likely do very well from the trade ins. Their second hand prices are currently higher than some other places new prices, and presumably they sell at that price, and anyone trading in is also paying up to 60% of the cost of a new controller ($29 of $49). If your controllers dirty, has a bad battery etc then it’s still ok for the consumer, but EB won’t lose out overall.
for EB care
Went to trade mine in during black Friday and all they had were blue, red and white. The staff member said they had sold out of the other colours in all SA stores and wouldn't be getting anymore in until next year.
Am I missing something here? Is this just a deal to pay $29 if you're unhappy with the colour of your current controller?
Basically to refresh batteries, and to get new controllers at 1/3ish of the price as if you bought new ones eventually to replace the batteries, the old ones will just be collecting dust in a cupboard anyway
That or your current one has wear and tear and you’d like to swap for a brand new one.
yeah also get new warranty, wanted gold but its sold out everywhere close to me
What kind of condition do they accept?
My dog must have lost the game she played while I was at work, because they got pretty wrecked
As long as they work/turn on, it should be fine. You might want to call your store first though if it's not near by, as ultimately it will depend on them.
Honestly just needs new stick ends and shoulder buttons
"wkd" said in a comment above that "they asked for ID when i traded mine in and also charged $3 extra for worn thumb sticks".
Thanks OP. Got this for $23 with my Level 4 EB Membership.
Sunset Orange!! Here I come!
