first stage of the myer christmas sale. a lot of ornaments are instore only again this year. (this is when i pick off things i think may sell out before christmas eve / boxing day and that i am willing to pay more for, but i mostly wait for the real sale.)

When does myer usually do the real sale?
when it is too late for stuff to get posted by christmas they start lowering prices online… then christmas eve or christmas eve eve it gets big markdowns - david jones too.
in store im not as sure, buy they usually match.
you really have to keep checking because they change their minds from year to year. generally stores are starting the boxing day sales online on christmas eve.
checking ozbargain is good too.
and christmas stuff is always the cheapest stuff in the sales because they dont want to store it until next year. christmas specialty shops are the exception because they store it all year.
but its always a gamble if something will sell out before it gets to the price you want.
so i shop several times as things go down in price and seem worth it to me.
Check their eBay store, I got another $30 off the tree I wanted ( my tree no longer available but others maybe) via eBay plus.
Seems the constant buy 2 get 1 free made way for this, atleast to some extent.
Retailers use buying trends and forecasts these days. Stores would rather stock less than have more.
If it's not some gift wrap you want then I doubt anything will be left.
Even target sold out of Christmas trees now.
