  • thats gonna be sweeet

  • Any good deal on MS? Can anyone be specific?

  • But I don't think their price is the lowest…if you get price match then they won't give you 20% off…right?

  • When does the MS cash back promotion end btw?

      • PC Hardware only. Does not include, System Builder Products, Xbox® Consoles or accessories for Xbox Consoles. Products must be purchased between 1st May 2008 and 31st July 2008. Claims must be received by 5 pm (Sydney time) 31st August 2008. Photocopy of original receipt required. Maximum of 3 claims per person. You are responsible for claiming online and the cost of posting in your claim form. Cash Back will be electronically paid into your account. RRP = Recommended Retail Price (including GST). There is no obligation on any person to comply with the recommended price. The price you actually pay will be determined by the retailer. While stocks last. At participating retailers.
  • @bargrin — do you have a special channel to Kmart to get their catalogue early? :) Sweet deal btw!

  • It was sitting in my letter box this morning, for some reason my suburb always gets the kmart catalogue a few days in advance.

    • reminds me of that vague 90's show 'early edition' where a dude gets his paper one day in advance and tries to save the world each episode by knowing what's on the front page of tomorrows news… :P

  • Just for the record, I believe its 30% cashback off of the purchase price, so its not quite 50% off :)
So something that normally sells at Kmart for $100 would be 20% off, which makes it $80. Then get 30% of $80 cash back, which is $24. So total out-of-pocket expense is $56.
So we're talking 44% off the normal price, which is still very good!

  • no the Microsoft cash back is 30% off the rrp and not the ticket price/what you pay. Every cash back item has a set cash back amount, that being 30% off the rrp.

  • Defiently off RRP.

Will post this separately but suffice to say found MS Wireless MEdia Desktop for $249, RRP is $449 cashback is therefore $135 so I got the top of the range wireless media keybaord and mouse for $124 :D

  • yup, and if they on sale at Kmart from thursday you get another 20% off

    • No you wont "Not in conjunction with any other offer" :(
So you only get the original 20% Kmart discount and the MS cashback.

      • Incorrect. It should be "Not in conjunction with any other offer from Kmart".

        • Yep, I was just gonna say…

        • Ahh i believe i know where the confusion came from, bargrin didnt use the reply fucntion, but he was probabaly talking to someone.

I read it on its own and i read "and if they on sale at Kmart from thursday you get another 20% off" which i interpreted as 20% off (from this offer) + another 20% off from a diff offer on thursday + MS 30% RRP rebate, which is why i said "the original 20% Kmart discount and the MS cashback."

          My bad.

  • From MS's earlier 25% promotion (last year) they definitely returned the RRP on a mouse I had purchased at a price discounted from RRP. I can't remember the actual figures though. In any event, it should be 30% cashback off the RRP regardless of what you pay for the product.

  • Does anyone know how long it takes for MS to deposit the cash-back into your account?

    • Very long…more than 2 months from my last 25% CB.
Also just wondering, MS allow maximum of 3 claims per person. As I claimed 3 from last promotion, can I able to claim again with this new 30% CB promotion?

  • MS say to allow up to six weeks!!! BTW, yes, it IS 30% off RRP regardless of what you paid. I got a w'less MS mouse @ Harvey Norman the other week for $29-95. RRP was $49-95, & I'll get $15 back from MS. Not bad, a MS w'less mouse for $15-!!!

    Cheers,
Live Long & 5cr3w Bill Gates.

  • I got a Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 from OfficeWorks for $69.95
Retail is $99.95 so cash back is $30. $40 for a $100 mouse is pretty good.

  • HN have the MS "Wireless Laser Desktop 6000" (kybd & mouse) advertised for $89.95 (40% of RRP of $149.95). MS 30% (of $149.95) rebate = $45.00. Net cost = $44.95!!!! (Sorry Crownie, this makes your $40.00 "6000" mouse look a bit exie,, but then I don't have the HN/MS gear in my hand yet do I?) I'm off to get one this a.m.

    Cheers,
    Live Long & Irradiate Yourself.
    :-)

    • I didn't think it was a competition to see who can save the most. My dad needed a new mouse and this is what he bought. If he needed a keyboard, then I would look at what you are buying.

  • About the MS “Wireless Laser Desktop 6000”. I was at Harvey Norman Moorabbin and the price was $149.95 on their computer. I need to take in catalogue from HN website to get this deal. Weird.

  • I had to do the same at HN Brisbane CBD the other week for the W'less Notebook Mouse 3000 - advertised for $29.95, but $49.95 on the shelf; but had no prob's at HN Garden City y'day with W'less Laser Desktop 6000 Kybd & Mouse - $149.95 on the shelf (& box), but scanned OK for $89.95. Now I've just got to wait for a month or two for MS to put the money in my bank account!!!
HN / MS deals have been pretty good. 40% + 30% = 70% off RRP!

    Cheers,
    Live Long & Prosper.

  • Finally got the 3 x MS cash-back…
$15 off the 3000 notebook mouse
    $45 off the 6000 w'less k'brd/mouse
    $20 off the vx1000 webcam
Hey; it only took a little over three months!

    Cheers,
    Live Long and Prosper.
