Noticed in an email from Velocity that Virgin Australia are offering Velocity Frequent Flyer members 50% off Economy Getaway fares for travel on 29 February 2020. The discount seems to be 50% off the full price of a Getaway fare and doesn't take into account any generally available discounts (such as book early etc.)

To find these fares you must be logged into your Velocity account when searching.

Some examples I found at time of posting were:

To find these fares you must book your flight on virginaustralia.com while logged into your Velocity Frequent Flyer Account. When Visiting www.virginaustralia.com navigate to the top right hand corner and select "Log In".

        Yes you can, but you will have to wait until March 2023 to book the return flight as tickets are only released 12 months in advance.

      You mean that they have a software bug where an outsourcing developer assumed 28 days in Feb and the bug wasn't discovered until someone wonders why no one takes a plane ride on 29th Feb and now they needed to hurry up to rid the tickets?

      I didn't get the email, but logged in and tried SYD-BNE. There's still some at $68.65 with the promo tag.

  Thanks OP. Didn’t get an email so your post was valuable.

  I managed to string together 4 flights via the multi city tool for $225 as a mileage run (to maintain Platinum). Slight promo benefit of 50% extra points for flights booked within the next week or so.
