Oh, but it's much better picture quality, gold connectors, does 3D, blah blah…. (yeah, right - it's zeros and ones)
actually cable quality can make a difference over 10-15+ meters, see data corruption.
but yeah, your point is still valid as most of them want to sell you a 1.8 meter cable for around 70-80 bux.

Good review here http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones-headsets/blueant-s4-hands…I've got one. Fantastic for incoming calls, spent many hours on conference calls driving with no issues. The voice recognition function is a PITA, but that said I don't normally need this function. One oddity with the functionality is that the phone book is loaded to the device, but can't be used for outbound calls - it's only used to announce who the inbound caller is. The only outbound calling function is to redial last call, otherwise you need to activate the phone voice function via the S4, and then use the phone voice recognition. For me this means making a random call to someone in the iPhone address book!
StIll a great buy and excellent device if you don't have in-car bluetooth.Does it turn on automatically when you get in the car like the old ones did? Or do you have to switch it on every time?
That depends how you define "turn on" (I never owned the old one).It does connect to the Bluetooth when you get in the car. It has 3 power settings:
- Off
- Power save mode ( basically on, but not monitoring for voice commands)
- OnI usually use it in power save mode. I often forget to turn it off when I get out of the car, but easily get a week out of a charge. I've had it 12 months and only ever run out of battery once (charging sporadically when I think it needs it).
Thanks. Yeah the S3 turns on automatically when you open the door. I was unsure if this one does that, the manual for it seems to suggest that you need to press the "U" button when stepping into the car to wake it up.
I believe the S3 had motion detection so everytime you opened the car door it would 'wake up'. No button pressing required. Many people say the S4 is a step backward in this regard.
