This one has a built in battery - can be useful for some

      • -8

        wow! pedestal fan with battery

doubt my eye for a sec

  • -3

why do you want batteries in a fan?

    • +4

So you can easily move it around or place it in an area where a power point is not easily accessible????

    • +1

To use it somewhere you don't have a power point? Take it to the park when u have a picnic?

      • +19

i've never seen anyone carry a pedestal fan to a park lol.

        • +6

          Until now!

    • It's portable so you can take it anywhere.

      • +3

        Like the moon?

        • +5

Atmosphere is too thin to be of any use there

          • +2

@FireRunner: It has a wind simulation setting, perhaps expressly addressing this problem :D

      • +5

So airing out the loo after the porcelain massacre

      • Yes fits in your glovebox

    • +6

I bought this one with some level of doubt for its usefulness. But I actually like being able to move it around without plugging in. Battery life is great too. My only complaint is that there is no way of knowing charge levels or whether it’s charging.

      • +6

Can’t you use the app for that?

    • +1

When proper summer hits Australia and our power grid fails due to everyone using aircon.

      • +2

        When does that happen

        • Depends. Are you in SA?

          • @HighAndDry: Qld we rarely have power outages

          • @HighAndDry: Why would SA people need a/c for its so cold down there

  • +1

Ooh a battery? Sweet, I can take this with me on the train.

    • +2

      Paying for transport?
Two of these and a pair of rollerblades haha

    • +2

Try the blitzwolf one, which has like a retractable selfie stick cord, built in battery and very light. It's called the fun size or something, will update here tomorrow if youre unsure, as mine is downstairs n this is one of those 'woke up to pee at 4:30am, thought I'd go to Ozbargain, my first love'.

a fan is definitely needed to clear the stench of crap for the sake of selling crap that this device emits.

  • Battery is useful if there's a power outage

I can't afford to splurge on a fancy fan, so I'll stick with my $15 cheapy pedestal fan. Does the job for me.

Got one recently, good to use around the house without worrying about the cable sticking out. The natural setting feels nice and noise is barely noticeable.

    • +1

What's the noise like on max setting?

      • +4

It's really good, feels more like a brushless magnetic motor which seamlessly just floats/ cruises along, rather than some overpowered noisy thingo.

Really good product, from my experience.

  • Missed out the previous Banggood deal and now this. My bad luck! I bought the Kogan Premium DC motor fan a few weeks ago instead. The Kogan fan is ok except when in silent mode, can hear a tiny bit of rattling (in the swing mechanism) as the fan changes the direction of swing.

  • +1

Noise level and price both are way way better than my Dyson Fan.

  • Can anyone point out the main differences between this 2s vs the xiaomi 2?

    • +1

      battery.

      that is all

  • Does this oscillate?

Can you buy a remote for it?
