There is a trick to saving some money. If you use the app, the you don't have to pay GST as the price is including GST.

I bought 10 of these yesterday and paid the listed price from the website and no GST (as it was already included in the price and didn't get added extra during checkout.

I ordered this 6 weeks ago and still havent received. Blitzwolf says it was stopped by customs so returned to sender.

    • Yep I ordered one on Oct 7 and it's nowhere to be seen.

    • Yep…6th of October for me….nada, zero, noppes, nothing.

      Bloody joke that banggood

    • Order No: 74361432 Name To: XXXX Order Date: Oct 06 2019 , not yet arrived..

At least you got off 😂

    • same issue with me. I havent got refund yet

      • That sucks. I got a near identical looking thing 2 orders via alliexpress no worries.

    • Did they say why it didn't make it through customs?

    • -1

Lol no way that's true. More like an excuse for not having sent it.

I'm going to guess the batteries don't meet Australian standards.

  • That’s bull dust on what basis does a light fail customs ?

    • Maybe they lithium ion batteries.

I ordered 6 and they came through fine.

      • customs don't check for batteries.

This has more LEDs, has PIR, and is cheaper. Only $18.02 with 218 LEDs.

Blitzwolf is a pretty decent brand though, and the item has a lot of reviews.
This item is no name and zero buyer reviews. It also says 3000 lumens, no way would it be that.

Ordered this on the 11/11 and got it delivered on the 28th.
    Bought it for 17.69$
haven't put it up yet, good build and bloody bright.

  • why not https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LED-Solar-Power-PIR-Motion-Senso… from an Australian seller if it is not too bright.
If it is, try this 100 LED at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garden-100-LED-Waterproof-Path-L…

  • I have both these and the hoselink models much better of to spend the extra cash as the hoselink have additional modes

Are all LEDs 'equal' - putting aside longetivity? eg. 10 LED light by one company the same brightness as a 10 LED light from another?

    • +2

Nope some LEDs may produce 1 lumen max and other may produce 100000 lumens. Even if they are the same size they all vary, One 3535/5050 footprint LED will be different to another.

  • Does these light work under shades? I am just thinking of putting it inside my pergola, there's some light but not direct sunlight.

    • How?
Panel is in the unit, you need direct light for them to work effectively

      • I have a similar one which charges fine without direct sunlight. Under an eaves on the southern side of the house. Mind you, it only stays on briefly when passing by but you can tell it charges daily as it is quite bright.

  • I have tried many of these lights, I would suggest to check batterycapacity before ypu buy.

    • +2

      Any suggestions then?

  • you can get better or the same quality cheaper elsewhere… I wonder if the returns were app paid …

  • Similar and cheaper on eBay and twin pack….
    I bought 2 sets and work fine…

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/100-LED-Solar-Power-PIR-Motion-S…

  • are ebay ones as good as blitzwolf? usually blitzwolf has high quality products

  • Can't go wrong with blitzwolf have heaps of their products, they are excellent quality and comparable to big name brands.
