    And this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorola-Milestone-2-Black-8GB-Wa…

I really want this phone. Can you do a better deal for Ozbagainers?

    • May be look out for the milestone 3. It's out or coming out soon.

      • Is there are time frame for milestone 3?

    • $335

  • +4

Optus have the Milestone 2 free on the $29 cap, and if you order online it's only a 12 month contract.

    • That comes up to only $348 plus you get a little airtime and bonus unlimited social networking usage..

      • Any idea how much it would cost to unlock the phone? Might just buy it and use it on my existing network…

I'm not sure I would trust mobilciti again….

After selling an apparently dodgy batch of micro sd cards, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49123#comment-546745 they haven't exactly fallen over themselves to inform customers nor to offer refunds. I contacted their 'support department' yesterday lunchtime and aside from an automated response, have heard nothing, (the support ticket has been classed as 'medium' level…. which is a lower level than 'high', 'urgent', 'emergency' and 'critical'. In fact the only lower category is 'low' - which I suspect means people are not going to be falling over each other to fix it.)

They haven't exactly filled me with confidence….

      Good to know. thanks Andy.

      • Yeah that is important info. Worth a single neg just so people can have their attention drawn to the terrible customer service and dodgy products by mobiciti. Shame on you mobileciti.

I mean really… trying to charge a customer extra to get a genuine card over a fake card. No more "continually support mobileciti" from me.

/rushes off to h2testw the SanDisk extreme cards I bought from them.

        • I would NEVER deal with a company that doesn't respond to Support requests, ABSOLUTE BS !

        • Apologies if we have missed you out. With the ones that contacted us due to quality fail cards, we have either refunded in full or provided replacements straight away.
If you haven't received a response for some reason, feel free to ring us anytime and we would have our dedicated staff to speak to you and assist you with your needs.

        • I can't agree with you more stumo. When I contacted them about my fake card, they offered me either a refund or a new sandisk card, for an extra $5.50. I mean, seriously!? Same capacity, they're both about the same price. This was after my previous e-mail, with a H2testw screenshot, showing that the card had a hacked capacity, with only 26.9MB of real capacity and a picture of the back of the packaging with "Kingston's" MISSPELT as "kingston,s"

But in the end I did get my replacemnent (at the post office) and I will be testing it as I get home.

      • Shame on them. The support is just terrible with their sub-par English as well. They kept asking me for my invoice number despite me forwarding my entire invoice verbatim for them to refer to.

    • As an update, since this post, I have been contacted by mobileciti and have been offered and accepted a refund…. :)

    • All the ticktes submitted yesterday at lunch time has been responded in full. Our apologies if we have delays on responding tickets. The memory card is sourced genuinely, and the unfortunately the quality of this batch is not satisfactory. Doggy and fake have nothing to do with these deal. We are now contacting all the buyers who purchased these units for follow up service, if quality fails, we will provide full refund. For all members who purchased kingston 4GB card, feel no hesitate to email us your order details and contact number, we will have our dedicated staff to contact you within 24 hours to assist you with your needs.

      • my confidence in your business is somewhat better than it was this morning….

        • +1

What about the claims on the above link that is says "Kingston,s" rather than "Kingston's" on the packaging? I'm sure Kingston's quality control would have picked that up, but I guess Kingston,s didn't.

Maybe next time you could pick a random card out of any batch you receive and run h2testw on it, then you could also post the results when you advertise them. Thats what I'd so if I were in the business of selling cheap flash cards. Its not like the industry isn't rife with fake flash or anything.

  • Where is the rep gone? Hiding?

    • Rep is always here. If you need a instant reply, don't hesitate to ring us if you want to speak to us with any matter.

  • Just got one from store before they drop the price $4.. sighh

it is from vodafone australia and the one i had before missed on the network unlock. Be sure to ask them to check on the network unlock i was lucky that i went to the store and dont have to return anything..

other than that it is great. Good price for 1 GHz with 16 Gb (8 GB onboard, 8Gb sd card included ) 512 Mb 3.7 Screen with Gorilla glass and slide out keyboard that is far better than the first Milestone (Droid). So far so good no lag and work just fine with TPG

    • We are happy to do a credit back of $4 this time.
Email us your order number and we will follow up.

  • i dont think its a good deal coz i just received my MS2 thru optus online shop, with 29/month over 12 month you can have it free. thats only min$348 for the phone plus u got 180 credit and data every month! And optus provides much better coverage than vodafone. One thing to point out is that the cpu for MS2 is actually 800mhz but officially overlocked to 1 GHZ, but for that price, i wont care:)

    Just brought one. Thanks.

  • 1.) How can Kingston not spell their own brand name properly?
2.) How come these only get 1.85MB/s write when these are class 4 cards?
3.) How does "Kingston" "accidentally" manufacture 18Megabyte cards and then accidentally hack the capacity so your device shows this as a 4GB card?'

I've circled the spelling mistake - http://lulzimg.com/view/0ed6fe.jpg - you'll have to zoom in a bit to see it.

EDIT: And MobileCiti, I don't have anything against your business, I just feel I should have the right to show people, however I don't like it how you deny the issue, saying that these are a "bad batch" or "failed quality control"

There are lots of fake flash memory going around at the moment, easily accessible from chinese wholesaling sites like alibaba.com and dhgate.com

Reads some of the comments here - http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/h2testw-14-gold…

The other day I contacted a seller selling 256GB flash drives on eBay for $30 buy it now. He claimed them to be real, and he had a photo on my computer of the flash drives holding a few megabytes. I finally convinced him to do a full run of H2testw. He took them off eBay until he finished the run of H2testw (It takes a long time to write 250GB of data to a flash drive) — I never saw him put them back on eBay again. I can honestly say that i'm 100% certain that you's would of never purposely buy fake flash memory, but it would have been nice to see you own up to the issue and admit that you made the mistake of buying fake flash memory from a bad supplier

  • Off the topic. But anyway, if anyone have any faulty unit, please contact us, we would be happy to organize replacement or refund. We have also ways been their for our customer who purchased product that is fails in quality.

  • hey Mobileciti rep, I really want to get a Samsung Galaxy S2 this week. Would rather get Oz stock but the $600 deals for imported models from a few suppliers is very tempting. Any deals coming up . I notice on your info page on this site it says free shipping on all unlocked phones but that doesn't happen on website.

    • Australian stocks are more reliable, in fact Oz stock Galaxy S2 would get you two years manufacturer warranty which the imported models only gives you one year store warranty. That would be lot of hassles if you have any warranty issues if you purchase the imports. Free delivers are only for promotion products only.
We have just dropped the galaxy s2 from $748 to $698 plus shipping, big discount. $679 for the the unlocked optus branded ones. Definitely worth it to spend a bit more for Aussie stock!

      • Received my phone today, nice and quick thankyou!

HOWEVER, on your site it says that the phone is UNLOCKED, but the one you sent me is LOCKED to Vodafail!!!!

        Rep?

        Edit.

Sorted, just rang them. very helpful.
