Apple Music: Sign up to a Free 3-Month Family Trial, Get $14.50 Cashback (Approved in 30 Days) @ Cashrewards (New Customers)

Greetings everyone, I just noticed that Cashrewards have increased the cashback for Apple Music back again to their highest rate so far :)

Make sure you sign up to the Family Trial to be eligible for cashback.

Below is the information from the original deal to assist with the process :)


From an Android device:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and download & install the Apple Music App.
  2. Open your mobile browser, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  3. Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  4. Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to this page.
  5. If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  6. Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  7. You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From an iPhone/iPad/iPod:

  1. Open Settings/Safari and turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
  2. Open Safari, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  3. Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here
  4. Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to 'open this page in Music' then this popup(files.ozbargain.com.au).
  5. If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  6. Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  7. You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From a desktop browser (requires iTunes install prior to clicking Cashrewards links):

  1. If you haven't done so already, install and open iTunes.
  2. Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).
  3. Navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  4. Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  5. Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to open iTunes.
  6. Select Try it now… and you will get this popup.
  7. If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  8. Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  9. You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

Note: On desktop/laptop via any browser, click 'Shop Now' and open the iTunes program when prompted. On iPhone/iPad via mobile browser, click 'Shop Now' and open the Music App when prompted. Select your free 3-month trial plan of choice.


Cashback on Apple Music Trial is a one-off payment and for new subscribers only.

Cashback will move from pending to approved at 30 days from signup. If your Apple Music subscription is cancelled prior to 30 days, Cashback will be declined.

    So you need to cancel the trial on the 30th day to get the cashback?
    edit: just realised it's a 3 month trial.

    • yeah you cancel it as soon as your cash back is confirmed. and boom. free $14.50 and free 3 months of apple music.

      • Subscription stops immediately on cancellation. You cancel just before the end of trial.

        • No it doesn't.
          It's a 3 month trial period, you can cancel at any time and still have the apple music sub till the end of the 3 months.
          I know because I still have my apple music subscription from the last time they had a deal like this and I cancelled it right after the 30 day mark.

            • @bigbadboogieman: Ah I see, you're not aware of the cancelling via paypal method lmfao.

              You set up payments via paypal and just cancel the approved automatic payments via paypal.
              That way you don't get charged and you get your full 3 months..

              This is because itunes/apple doesn't realize you cancelled till it goes to charge you and gets blocked.

              Dumb question but if you create multiple Apple ID accounts can you still get the cashback on the same CashRewards account? I.e. have two cashbacks listed from two Apple Music accounts

          Once you select the Family offer, then the Apple Music app will ask whether you want to use an existing Apple ID or create a new one.

          Just create a new one then & there.

  • I never got paid on the last dealio. Lodged an enquiry - didn't go anywhere. Never had issues with CW before but yeah last one of these didn't pay out for me

    • Mine didn't track either however I lodged an enquiry 8 days after the offer, the amazing CR support team member fixed it up within 48 hours and it's now under my account.

      I would send the one and only tightarse a message :-)

  • Note that you have to link a Visa/Mastercard/American Express card to your Apple account in order to sign up to the free trial. I experienced an issue with the app after linking my card to my Apple account. After saving the details, my Samsung phone got the loading wheel and was stuck on loading something.. Tried going back on the app but the app seemed frozen. I did receive a Subscription Confirmation email as well as a Recent Purchase email from Apple so if it's not tracked I'll have to submit a claim manually…

    • Did it directly through iTunes and PayPal works

      • I didn't see a Paypal option when I was signing up via the Apple app on my Samsung phone (would have preferred using Paypal). Linking a card was the only payment option that I could see.

        • Go here -> Payment & Shipping -> Edit -> Select "PayPal' as the payment method

          • @CC123: Even adding PayPal via browser first doesn't allow you to choose it within the app (on Android); it forces you to add a CC.

  • only this week i resigned with Spotify for $12 for 3 months unfortunatly but hey, free $14.50 and maybe some of the songs Spotify doesnt have! good chance to see which one i like better (Google play was a fail for me, horrible interface). cheers

    • ITunes asks for store password every 20 minutes, purchase history shows two $0 subscriptions active after doing a single trial for the family - one a monthly, one a quarterly. One purchase indicated via email. Embarrassingly broken - god knows what non tech-savvy iPhone users go through.

  • Has anyone had any issues using a single CR account to sign up for the deal again? I've done the trial via my own Apple Account several months ago and got the cashback but want to now use the trial on my wife's Apple account but she is not a CR user (and I don't want to sign her up to CR just for this deal).

  • Weird created a new apple ID, but every time I try to click start the free family trial is says I've already used this offer and will be charged $17.99

            @[Deactivated]: I had the same problem too but I tried using a new combination of email address, CR account, and payment method. I think Apple is cracking down on return customers taking advantage of this deal. Not sure how though - maybe IP address matches? Could try using a VPN next time.

          I think they must be able to recognise the device ID(which has iTunes installed on) to stop you making multiple accounts.

    How do you cancel the subscription after the 30 days?

    • After you complete your subscription you will get welcoming email from Apple, which contains a link to review your subscription (you can cancel through that link).

  • Hi I followed the instructions for Android on top of this post I'm confused did I need to do it on my laptop to get the deal. Also it didn't ask me for payment method
