  • +2

    Yeh, had the same problem as my local Bing Lee have stocks and want to buy via ebay but can’t see the listings. Contacted Bing Lee Ebay and here’s what i got;

    Hi,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Your area may be in the exclusion zone and hence you cannot make a purchase via our eBay store.

If you're located close to one of our regional branch (within their delivery zone), please change the postcode to Sydney postcode 2000 (with your correct address and suburb) at the checkout page.
This should allow for your order to go through.

If you would like to arrange for delivery, please ensure to opt for shipping upon checkout.
Vice versa if you would like to collect at the store, please make sure to select Click & Collect option.

Please be advised we won't be able to process the order if you're located remotely and not close to our Bing Lee store.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards
    May

      What bs.

      • +2

IKR.. It was ok before black friday and delivery was $40 to my location. But then they started to block postocdes.. What’s worse is in store Bing Lee won’t price match their own product from ebay Bing Lee.. oh well, saved me money for something.

  • +1

How is it compared to the c9? Im interested in getting oled but don't know much about the models yet.

    • +2

Missing out on max brightness and hdmi2.1. Imo is worth the sacrifice for this much savings. And I'm picky AF

    • +2

      https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c9-vs-lg-b9/802/9…
$700 saving and its confirmed to have HDMI 2.1.

      Best VFM atm imho

      • +1

The C9 was only $100 cheaper three weeks ago. Definitely worth the difference

        • +1

C9 cheapest has been just over $3k. So at least $600 savings which is huge.

      • One of the main differences which may matter to some people is that real scene brightness in HDR is 200nits lower than the C9. SDR seems very similar on both sets and I'd imagine most people spend most of their time viewing SDR material.

    • +3

The HDTV Test review that came out a day or two ago basically said that it has worse near-black performance, slightly more sluggish OS and will receive new firmware updates slower than the C9 (which has more RAM and a more powerful chipset, hence the differences). The panel itself is identical, it's just the computing hardware inside it that's different. The B9 is still excellent, but the C9 is usually not much more expensive, and they recommended the higher end model in most cases.

When the B9 is on uber discount and the C9 isn't would be a case where the B9 made sense to buy, although I'm personally waiting for the C10 or whatever comes out next year since I'm in no rush.

      • +1

SO just use a Chromecast, and don't analyse it with tools and you will be fine. $700 for 65" is a lot more

  • +3

    waiting for c9

  • +6

Bing Lee's ridiculous shipping rules and paranoia has reached new heights. Yet they will ship anywhere from their normal website. It's a strange way to carry on compared to their peers and smaller retailers who seem to be able to arrange national shipping on ebay just fine and it makes you wonder what weirdos are running the place.

  • That is very very tempting. I have a 55 inch B7 which I'm happy with, but a 65 would be better.

    • +1

Why? Looks like I would have to use it for 10 years to be worth the wait. $700 goes a long way.

      • +2

        $700 lol what?
The c9 55inch was down to $1712 not long ago and has been hovering around 1800-1900 in prior sales

        • Oh I was talking about 65.

          • @onlinepred: Fair fair mate

            • @Pulseless: Yeah scored this exact price from JB Thursday Night.

Went in again to buy an Xbox one s as a media player Friday and the store was a cluster fk. 35 minute wait times at the registers. Waited 30 mins for service too.

              • @[Deactivated]: Where did you price match against for 1700?

    • I got my C9 65" for $2.5k 3 weeks ago before the price jumped up when the B9 launched. Hoping the C9 hits $2800 so I can maximise my price protection lol.

  • +1

    Sony - 65" X85G is $1,276.00 + Delivery

    • hdmi 2.1? gsync?

      • +3

        6:02 & 6:41 of this
video is all you need to see to avoid the X85/X95. Seriously people, do your research before buying unless you really don't care about blooming and want to throw away money.

        • +3

Based off this review I'll go with the $1300 Sony vs the $4200 Samsung, thanks!

        • im only after the LG C9 because i can play 4k120hz games on it

  • -6

    samsung X75R smashes this

    • +2

      Haha missing the sarcasm

  • +2

Was hoping for a $2800 price on the C9 but going to have to bite the bullet at $2400 for the B9. I've got the 55 C9 for the game room and it's fantastic, don't think there will be a huge difference between the two for Netflix/4K Bluray

  • -2

Picked up 55" C9 OLED from JB for $1712 Thursday night.

Just took delivery of it about 45 mins ago. Tried to post it as a deal but apparently price matching isn't a deal. Well it's a deal you guys missed out on now. Could also not get finance for 24 months on this deal, had to use the standard Gem 6 months interest free.

    Delivery was $35 on-top.

    • +1

      can you share receipt

did you just get them to price match this deal?

  • Contemplating both whether to go c9 or b9, we mainly watch stan/Netflix/antenna TV and Playstation.
Usually stream via external devices so it is easier to update.
Is there a huge difference between the two processors and how they handle up scaling etc?
In the stores the c9 looks so nice, haven't seen the b9 in stores yet, but pictures say it has a similar design.

    • -1

The B9 has taken a step back in peak HDR brightness.
Considering the price of the C9, one would be daft to choose this over the C9 or any other TV for that matter (aside from the Panasonic GZ1000U).

      • +1

Only for 55 inch. 65 inch or world seem a waste of money to go c9.

  • +1

I swear the B9 and C9 are real world identical. I remember buying into the hype of tech advancements but the reality is the jumps are just not there unless it’s drastic like 480p to 1080p.. 4K.. a lil better, not mind blowing though. Different pictures on the same panel.. like virtually no difference

If you see it, more power to you.

    • -1

I don't think this comments warrant negs.

The sets received 8.9 vs 9.0 on RTINGS respectively, so there's not a night and day difference between them no matter how you want to spin it. However for some people the extra features on the C9 will be worth it.

      • What are the extra features though?

      • Yeah but that's an overall rating.
Have a look at the HDR peak brightness, it's in yellow meaning average.
IMO, the C9 is considerably better, not marginally better.

        • Yes and that's fine for you, but that's one aspect, there are multiple aspects where they are the same or very close at which point most people would be hard pressed to tell them apart. Part of this is also subjective as well, some don't have an issue with motion on the OLEDS, others its very noticeable to them. The point being, I think its hard to neg someone for saying they looked the same to them when there are aspects of them which are and the overall RTINGS themselves are so close; it would be hard imo to make an objective case that they are night and day different.

In any event we went through all of this with B8 vs C8 and we'll do it all again with the B10 vs C10 next year I guess :s

  • wow im impressed at the drop on these so soon, guess we should be seeing $2K around boxing day sales or Australia day sales.

    • +1

$2100-$2400 for 65" C9 sounds achievable even today.

  • Ive got $1,300 and absolutely no clue when to pull the trigger on a good telly. Don't care about the apps, care about the picture

  • Nobody showing much interest in the Panasonic GZ1000U…. Panasonic suppossed to have the most natural colours and out of box experience.

    • No HDMI 2.1

      • Who has a HDMI 2.1 AMP or 4K Blu-Ray Player to make the most of that?

Guess I'll always be a Panasonic fanboy ;) Always liked their Plasma screens and build quality. Realise that all OLED's have LG panels, but I believe next year, LG will be selling more barebones panels to other OEM's so they can tweak them more… oled-info.com is always a good read.

        • +1

You can take advantage of 2.1's VRR support right now if you have a compatible video card. Most people keep TVs for 5 years+. It's also a good idea future to proof, especially as new consoles will be out next year and there's a good chance they'll take take advantage of 2.1. Ditto with future audio and eARC.

'Out of box experience' is nice but irrelevant to most, as anyone can calibrate and change picture settings. At worst, it's a one-off inconvenience. IMO, Panasonic's 'real Hollywood people tuned this screen!' line is just marketing.

    • +1

Not a great set for gamers though, has high input latency

  • The LG B9 OLED or Samsung Q75R QLED???

    • +1

B9 unless your viewing conditions are super duper bright

    • compared Q75R to mates C9 and the q75r looks way better for daytime viewing. If it's a night time setup go C9 for sure.

      • -2

Yeah, that's a totally fair and scientific comparison.

        • this is ozbargain not neckbeard bargain

          • +2

@Top G: In case you hadn't noticed, this is an AV deal. Meaning products are extensively cross-reviewed, and parameters like viewing angle, response, and contrast are quantifiable and can be directly compared. Which renders your anecdotal eyeball comparison moot. Something tells me you just bought a Q75R. Sorry.

    • +2

B9 all day long, no doubt, no thought. If you compared to Q80R, that makes it more difficult as the anti reflective coating on the Q80R is awesome for bright rooms. The Q75R is still quite reflective.

  • Listing has been removed !!!!

  • Please enter a quantity of 0 or less? No stock showing for me?

  • I think I’m going to buy the B9.. this price is too good

  • Can we price match with JBHI or MYER so we can use the gift cards?

  • Anybody managed to get a BL store to match this? I see no stock also online?

  • Got got a store to allow in store eBay purchase for 65 B9 $2396 using a different postcode.. just now

  • Tempted but the estimated delivery date on the 65" B9 is between 23 Dec and 3 Jan. May as well wait for boxing day sale now…

    • My store has them in stock fortunately…

    • +1

Buy it to lock in at this price, and if boxing day sale is better you cancel this and order on boxing day.
