Been waiting KEF Q150 drop this Black Friday and quite disappointed it only drop to 599$ :(

Not as good as Amazon US, 300USD. But after the shipping + GST from USA, 599$ seem is our best deal for this speakers.

Got one for myself, happy shopping guys

FYI: you will amp to run these speakers and it wont come with cable wire. So you need to buy banana plug cable for it. The cost keep add up from my original budget

    Just brought the SMSL AD18 for 149$, mainly because I want something small foot print

    It have quite a lot of mixed review, finger cross it wont disappointed me.

      Seriously tempting. I don't think I can justify the extra price for the LSX so this is a good setup.

        I was shocked how good they are for the sizes, having the LS50 and LS50W myself. Where space is a concern they may be worth it…

  Any recommendations for a centre speaker to go with these?

  Otherwise I may buy a second set and use one Q150 as a centre speaker. Let me know if anyone wants to go halves on this.

      Not a 1:1 comparison, but FWIW, I vastly prefer my Concept 20s to the Q150s.

      I haven't listened to either of those as much as I'd like to, particularly Q Acoustics.

      I personally found ELACs a little boring, can recall the salesperson suggesting that many others who eagerly wanna hear them got disappointed too. Each to their own though, everyone has their preferences…. Everytime I go looking for speakers I always find myself going back to Kef.

      Had both UB5 and Q150
      I initially thought UB5s were better

      Then I tried them side by side
      Q150 shits all over UB5s

  These things look nice but not very bang for buck acoustic wise. A lot of other choices that are a lot cheaper and almost as good and plenty that are around the same price but better.

  Of course acoustics is 50% ego and 50% placebo, I'd recommend testing them out to see what you think on a standard Marrantz PM5005 at the local audio store. Room conditions will change but at least you can compare if the stores have some crossover between brands.

  I ended up with a pair of B&W 606 for reference.

    You are saying these aren't bang for buck but if I'm not mistaken yours cost twice as much?

    Audio is very individual. Some people actually like Beats headphones….
