Not everyone wants to spend that much on a controller, but it's a good deal for those who do

Interesting they pushed ahead with series 2 so close to the next gen launch window. You'd want to be sure it's going to work with the next xbox. I own the first elite controller and love it over the standard, just would hold off till next gen whatever that ends up being!
I believe it's been confirmed it will work with the next gen console.
Thanks beaver, that's good to know we can use our existing controllers (I'm sure it then extends to the normal x1 controllers?) But moreso if there'll be any crossover with the new next gen pad features, if any -> is it worth buying now if features you're after will be integrated into next gen pad.
It's probably a smarter decision to wait - no one really knows what the next gen controllers may feature.
Plus it'll still work on PC perfectly for a long time (which is why I want one).

After all the problems i've had with the first series, definitely holding off buying this one. Seems this one has it's own set of problems unfortunately.
