My first deal. I got this APP last year for my son to learn guitar… works great he's smashing it now.
Plus I use it to play bass, and my second eldest is using to learn keyboard, and my youngest is learning ukulele.

if you use a VPN via US IP to load the APP you get access to more songs e.g. AC/DC that my boys all love.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2019

Yousician is pretty cool but their lack of family plans is crap. It sounds like it works OK for the OP because everyone is using a different instrument, but if anyone in your family is planning on learning the same instrument, keep in mind that is a single profile that you're sharing, so one person's progress on piano will affect everyone else trying to learn piano, for example.

If you're keen on learning one or multiple instruments on your own, go for it - it's fun and pretty effective (and no ads - god the ads get annoying on the free version). If you are planning on sharing with other people, make sure you're not going to overlap on instruments.

There are also a handful of other things to keep in mind:

    • Using your mobile may not work well for some instruments if your mic doesn't pick up all frequencies well. E.g. some guitar strings may not get picked up and it'll think you played a note or chord wrong.
    • Weird sound latency issues and occasional screen lag on Windows
    • The Windows app doesn't support multi-users correctly, including if your user account is not admin (for security reasons) - it doesn't know how to have it installed under an admin account and make it accessible to other users via a shortcut and separate profile.

Check out the free version first to make sure you like it and it works OK for you before sinking $140 into this.
