From what I've read the Pimax has serious issues with comfort and build quality and is not in the same ballpark as Vive Pro.
And wireless is pretty much a requirement for me.
Thats completely ignoring the problems with the Vive Pro.
What would you rather do
Spend $2000 on a low resolution, low FoV, low refresh rate, a lot of screen door effect headset
or
Spend less on the Valve Index or Pimax and get a nice high end headset.
The small issues that Pimax has is dwarfed by the ancient Vive Pro headset, but you could just get a Valve Index.
You need to jump through a few hoops to buy an Index in Australia though, dont you?
@JMxoxo: Thats right, hopefully its going to be easily available soon.
I brought the Vive Cosmos, it's a very disappointing. Then I went to order the $599 Wireless unit, and it's extra cost for the Cosmos adapter … and they have the nerve to charge shipping costs.
Viveport is a cluster of crap games, and even for free it's not worth it.
Is there any decent content yet? The only thing I have really enjoyed was super hot and since I finished that a year ago my vr gear has sat dormant.
Half Life Alyx next year but my OG Vive has sat dormant for some time now.

$599 wireless adapter? Rofl. No.
Poor HTC, they used to make such great phones. The Cosmos has been a big failure obviously.
Not worth it when the Vive Pro is vastly inferior to the Valve Index or Pimax.
But I guess if you are desperate for wireless and are willing to make a lot of compromises.
