[Refurb] Epson EH-TW5600 Home Theatre Projector Full HD 1080p $689.40 Delivered @ Epson

110

I owned one of these projectors (upgraded to a ~$5k JVC) and can first hand confirm the quality for your dollar. Great all rounder for movies and sport. Great for gaming too.

Full disclosure - I personally know the reason for these refurbs is batches of the initial production models were supplied with lamp batches with flickering issues on eco mode. No issue with the projector itself. Epson accepted returns for all affected models instead of replacing/supplying a new lamp to customers. I accepted a lamp replacement for mine and enjoyed a year and a half of movies before giving to a family member and upgrading. From all reports the lamp issue hasn't resurfaced.

      1. You may risk getting get old stock with one of the old faulty lamps from a retailer.
      2. Warranty is direct with Epson.
      3. This is OzBargain. $120 bucks is $120 bucks.

mind to elaborate ? is it defective TW5600 from early batch ?

Well, I'm fairly certain I elaborated in my initial deal post…scroll up

          New VS refurb

And up to an individual to decide whether they prefer saving 15-20% by buying a refurb directly from the manufacturer. I would.

      • Ok

  • Unlikley to be sufficient stock to qualify for a deal on OzB.
Great projector though, I bought one of these refurbs earlier in the year. They seem to pop up reasonably often.

    • Huge batch of new lamps came in which have now sold out. Reasonably confident they have plenty of Refurb stock.

  • Would this be much of an upgrade over an aging TW3600 from 2011?

    • It'll be better, but hard to say. Have a look at a TW5600 in person. Most Harvey Normans will have one setup. If you're out Melb east Selby in Hallam have one setup too.

    • get 6700W or 6800 :D

      • I've viewed it in person and there is definitely not much between them. Definitely not worth the extra dollars you'll pay. AVSforums peeps believe most of the internals are from the 6700 anyways!

  • I ordered this and got a mail confirming the order. Now, they sent another mail this morning that there was some error with the site and they do not have the stock. SMH
