Also already mentioned in this deal here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/497715

  • Whoops, i did search for overcooked before I posted. Cant see prices on that list as a mobile user as well:(

yeah have to change to landscape orientation to see the other columns in the table with the new price :)

  • This or overcooked 2? Never played either but I hear it's a good family game?

    • +3

I have both and Overcooked 2 is better, you can throw. We no longer play this game because I get into fights with my bossy daughters.

Had to stop playing with the wife as she is so stupid to play with. A good cook in real life though.
Seriously I got so mental and angry over this game so banned it.

  • Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way that I can buy this game now (have it on my ‘account’) and download it later?
We have ordered a Switch for our sons birthday (Dec 4th), but it’s not here yet. I wanted to get him a few games as we wait for it but when I went to try and buy this game it told me that I had to sign in through the device.
(I thought it might work a bit like iTunes where you can buy the thing but don’t have to download it immediately?)
Is there a way that I can do this without having the actual device to hand?
    TIA!

No Nintendo is silly when it comes to these things, you'll need the console sadly. You can with everyone else, just not Nintendo.

      • Thank you :)
It really is a shame isn’t it 🤦🏻‍♀️
        (Sorry for the late reply!!)

        • EDIT - already covered in other posts

    • Does the link allow you to buy it? You can make purchases via the Nintendo site now but as I have a console already I'm not sure if your account needs to have connected to one previously.

No, Nintendo doesn't allow it, I'm in the same boat as well, we even tried 'activating' My Nintendo account on my brother's console while waiting for mine to arrive. It works only if the other console doesn't have the game, but as my brother already had overcooked I had to miss out on it.

You can just get your brother to go into the eShop on his console, deregister the console in the user settings in the eShop, you then can buy it, and when he next logs into the eShop on his console it'll reactivate as his main console.

        • Ooh thats awesome, thank you. But would he lose his progress of his overcooked by doing that? We missed out on overcooked 2 sale because we didn't know we could do that. :(

@sherbules: Won't lose save, it keeps the profile on the switch just deregisters the console as the user's primary. Just make sure you deregister from the console and not the website, since there's a limit on how many times you can do with the website but via console there isn't a limit.

@sss333: Thank you! We tried googling a gazillion times for an answer but couldn't work out. My own switch just arrived today but this is very good information for others who need it.

  • I'd want more than 66% of the price of something overcooked.
