We were looking for a treadmill for the home gym and this has by far the widest belt which is great if you're taller than 6 feet like me. It gets positive reviews on the web.

I've had one for a couple of years and has had no problems for what its worth…
I’ve got a NordicTrack, happy enough with the treadmill but the software can EAD. You can’t get rid of the login requirement (you can skip it, you just have to skip it every time you use it) and sometimes it simply doesn’t load meaning I have to quit the app and try again (thanks, Android.)
Hmmm, it doesn't look industrial grade. I would suggest you find a second hand Life Fitness. Agree with comments above re gyms. At $4K also, the warranty of two years parts and one year labour stinks. Really for domestic, I'd be looking at 4-5 years.
I had an expensive Nordic Trac cross trainer which developed a bearing problem just after the warranty period. The cost of the part was over $800 with labour on top of this. The cross trainer which cost over $2500 became a sea anchor after 15 months. Treadmills take more of a pounding than cross trainers (I also had a Repco treadmill which ended up with broken mounts after a short period of time)
One last thing, when you have a treadmill, the enemy is dust which can act like sandpaper on the deck of the treadmill. So protect your treadmill from dust by cleaning the surrounding areas and also covering the treadmill bed when not in use.
Good tip about the dust, thanks
I have a nordictrack treadmill. I enjoyed doing the iFit routines but at $250 a year I am giving it a miss. $50 a year might be more realistic.
No gym I've ever been to uses NordicTrack. Most seem to use Precor or Life Fitness. If I was buying a treadmill for home use, I'd want something similar to what I was accustomed to at the gym.
