  I can recommend this phone. I bought it for my wife on the last deal and she loves it. She was coming from a Galaxy S7 which she had since launch.

    Are there any downsides to this compared with the old s7?

    In particular, I really hate cameras that have poor colour accuracy and those auto blur filters. Tends to be the downfall of a lot of budget phones.

  Bought one off target for 150 a month ago and the unlock code was sitting on vodafone site so it was free to unlock.

  I went to OP's "Unlock for $5" link above https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/492648#comment-7896007. Despite the link saying it was out if stock I tried ordering one for $159 delivered. Surprisingly my order went through and payment processed.. Now to see if it gets delivered..

    Didn't believe you, checked on the Samsung site and you're right. I didn't know that and we now have three in the house! I'm shocked you can buy a new phone without 5G Wi-Fi.

  Ordered with voucher from store showing 'Low stock'. Order was cancelled/voucher wasted. Might complain see if they will re-instate the voucher.
