Not the best price for the 65", as it's been $2k~ several times. I believe the 55" price is similarly low as it has been a few times in the past.
This assumes no price jacks once the sale starts

I wish it was only $500 extra for the LG. Since B9 came out, C9 RRP has increased dramatically. You'd be lucky to get C9 55 for $2400 at retail. Even eBay code only brings it down to $2200. B9 is $2000 (retail) or $1700 (eBay). Glory days of C955 for $1700 are over.
It's still early days for the lg 9 series…
LG typically announces TVs at CES in January (bit over a month from now), with launch few months after that. Might as well wait for C10.
I got one of these at this price mid year and think it's a good display for the price. You're getting the great colours, black blacks that an OLED panel is known for.
I don't use the builtin Smart features so can't comment much on that, I use external devices - Xbox One, Vodafone TV for Netflix, Amazon, streaming, etc.
There haven't been any firmware updates, don't count on there being any in the future.
I managed to get JB close to this price for the 55px. Been fence sitting for years cause my 50" plasma seemed alright. Holy shit was I wrong! If you want an OLED you'd be very happy with this! The LG's might be better but for an entry point you can't go wrong.
price went up for the 55PX this morning (02/12/19)
after discount it is now $1276 + delivery :(
Spend the extra 500 or so for lg.
