  • How much does the course cost ???

    • One day: $195 pp, two days: $224 pp

      • So it's much cheaper just to buy the kit.

        • I mean, if you want to learn how to use all the items in the kit I think going for the course and getting the kit free is pretty good.

          • @phatbirb: Only if you were going on the course anyway…

It's not worth going to the course if all you want is the kit.

            • +3

@jv: True, but $200 for the skills too save someone's life is definitely a bargain.

@CacheHunter: CPR is just the same as blowing in the cartridge and hoping it starts working again.

              • @CacheHunter: Hard to put a price on I'll agree but most other places are $100-$125 for the one day course (same qualification)

              • @CacheHunter:

True, but $200 for the skills too save someone's life is definitely a bargain.

                Unless you already know.

                • @jv: You can't be practiced enough - even professional staff working in hospital emergency depts do annual refreshers.
Personally, as a regular citizen who hopes to never need to use my first aid training, I aim for a refresher once every 3 years.

  • thanks for posting, I need to renew my training soon

    • Yes, same here.

  • +1

One day course including first aid certificate normally cost $120 in most of the places, so think about whether the free fist aid kit worth $75 or not.

    • +1

True. My fists are doing well enough by themselves.

      • Surely there'd be something in the kit for the w*nkers cramp though

  • +2

No deal here! A quick Google search and you will find the same unit of competency (HLTAID003) for much cheaper, both 1 and 2 day courses. Meaning you can do the course elsewhere, buy this kit and it will still be cheaper!
