    • When was this advertised?

    • What!? Since when and most or some bunnings??

    • +8

That Companion fridge is made of unobtainium :(

  • It’s not advertised it’s in store only as they don’t advertise deleated items I got 3 last week $130 each

    • Which store though? I might have to call up and ask

    • -2

Do you expect us to check every Bunnings store around Australia just to find out which one has stock?

    • Was this on top of the 5 you said you bought previously?

  • Can't list price in title post cashback price.

I’ve had one of these in the back of the fourby for the last 8 years, and it’s brilliant. I’ve run other fridges, different brands and sizes, and this unit is my pick. The compressor is a quality unit that runs quietly and reliably, and draws very little current. And don’t worry about it not being the latest CFX unit; they are an updated shape and offer wifi control, but that’s essentially all. For this price, it’s an absolute bargain.

    • So little draw that you wouldn’t need a deep cycle battery, and run off car battery if only going away for max 3 nights, or not? Cheers.

WWFM: ours draws about 18Ah per day. I wouldn’t run a fridge off you car battery if it’s not deep cycle. How long will it run off a battery? Depends on the capacity of the battery, but assuming a max 50% discharge, you’ll get 3 days out of a 120Ah battery.

        • Ok yep understood cheers

        • Or better still get a lithium ion battery with 100% discharge, longer life and lighter weight.

          • @Bob81: OzBargain in me is telling me to wait for the price of Li-on battery to drop 50% first…

          • @Bob81: lithium-ion batteries should never be discharged below 20%. In fact a lot of them have a safety feature built in to stop this occurring if it does a normal charger will not be able to recharge the battery.

    • Same here. I’ve had the cf-40 for years and have run it off 240v and 12v. Love it.

If buying again I’d get a bigger fridge as we are needing more space for the kids, but otherwise it is excellent.

    • The main differences are the amount of insulation, the CF is not capable of a deep freeze and the CF whilst good on power is not as good as the CFX.The CF Series runs the old Danfoss (now Secop)compressor and the CFX runs the newer Waeco compressor.

  • Top fridge, had mine for ages but i might new one few freezer only.

Definitely get a second fridge, a friend of mine has the 95DZ and the thing is horrible.

He bought himself a 40 CFX and is just getting rid of the 95 completely.

  • Had mine 5y, know of many others too.

Absolutely a fantastic buy at this price, worth every cent.

I have the Campmaster one from the Big W click frenzy a couple years ago (re-branded Waeco), its been faultless.

    • Last year at $249?

    • Yep i got that one too, been absolutely brilliant. Used it today.

    • Yep, that same one.

  • These are often $599, but with As $200 anaconda gift card.
I need a few other bit and pieces, so going to wait for the next GC deal, they seem to have them regularly.
If you didn't want anything else, this is a good price.

  • Thanks OP, have been on the lookout for a camping fridge and this is a great deal so I picked one up. The 3 year warranty is a nice bonus.

  • Looks like this has expired, price is up $100 but they are now throwing in a $100 gift card.
I called my local store to see if they would match the $499 and they wouldn't do it.
