Pay the extra $150 and get the other rockrider posted here last week… SRAM Eagle groupset is worth $500 alone

Completely agree. Plus you get air forks rather than spring.
      Definitely worth the extra $150

It’s a pretty good bike for $599. But there’s a much better one for $749

      • Hey guys seems like you know quite a bit about these bikes, know of anything else on market around similar price that is any better?

        • What’s your budget and what will you be using it for?

The Eagle 29er is a great deal for a cross country mtb for anyone over say 170cm.

          • @[Deactivated]: 600-700 budget mate, will just be used for riding on roads/Cycling tracks, minimal to no off road cycling. But I am a bit of a beginner, not sure if that is much a factor, haven’t rode a bike in years but imagine their difficulty to ride shouldn’t differ too much?

@MJD91: If you can push it out to $750, get the Eagle 29er. It really is a $1,500 bike for $750.

See how you go with the tyres. If you don’t need the tread (can be a bit slippy on wet roads), fit some slicks instead.

If you find you don’t like it, you’ll probably be able to sell it for more than $750 anyway.
