So that’s why my sheds keep flying away in the wind…
Get free second hand pavers, sand and some shovelling muscle, dig out a flat base, layer with weed mat & sand, lay the pavers, fill gaps with sand, mud the edges and behold a cheap base that works really well. Thats what my partner and I did, and she helped with all parts of the construction..
what do you mean mud the edges? use concrete?
sounds like a plan. why do you need a weed mat as there will be no sun in the shed anyway?
i like the idea of using second hand pavers but what do you screw the shed onto? a few of those pavers?
Yeah probably dont need the weed mat… i bolted the shed at the corners, plus to every other paver or so.. we have had a lot of strong winds over the last few years and it hasn't budged.. ps, its a 3mx3m..
You use mortar, go in at 45 along the edges, stops the pavers from moving.
good idea.
My house has had a similar shed for over 20 years. There is 4 large square shaped pavers with wooden planks aligned as a base. I think it was a DIY job from the previous owner. Shed hasnt moved/wood hasnt rotted even after all these years. Can send pictures on request.
I’d love to see this please
thanks this is giving me some ideas.
would appreciate a picture as well, thanks
Can I get some pictures too please.
None for me thanks. :)

Yes pics please! Thanks.
…got any pics?
for anyone wondering what that green looking plant is. Its mint. It somehow travelled from the nearby garden bed and now grows inside the shed. Reason I could not get better pictures is that the shed has a lot of stuff in it like tiles/bricks that are very heavy to carry.
I think overall the second hand pavers and wooden planks to keep them together, along with some mortar.. could cut it.
Or pay $1100 just for concrete.
for all sheds, the concrete base will be like 8 times the price of the shed.
Good price. We need people to post deals on concretes next
