you play the game, not the cover. doesn't matter what it looks like
thats a generalisation, why are there limited/special/collector editions if you just play the game, I for one done want any platinum cover games in my game collection
True but essentially the game content itself is the same.
Unfortunately Tal_Shiar, your statement is only valid for those who collect games (like myself).
I initially had the same viewpoint as you, but with prices like these, i just had to go the platinum way.
Actually, I like to play the cover.
You could say the same thing about an ugly car.
I am not a hardcore game collector but I avoid Platinum/Classics/Asian versions if possible because generally they look terrible. I would happily pay $5 - $10 more for a normal version.
If people had a whole game collection with covers that looked like that they wouldn't be considered as gamers :P

i was thinking of buying this. How are the games?
I just started the second one last night. Its an adventure game that reminds me of Indiana Jones movies though there is no hat or whip in it :). The graphics is excellent, however there is a bit of climbing walls and telegraph posts involved and I am more of a "shoot'em up" kind of guy :)

Do yourself a favour and pick them up for this price.

Tempted to buy these even though I don't even have a PS3 yet (still got a long list of Steam sale games to play first).
Oh man, I bought uncharted 2 a few weeks ago from Big W for $28, if only I knew this was coming… actually I did after I bought the game then came online and did some research.

See and I just bought #1 because they NEVER bundle 1&2 !! grrrrr! - I feel your pain.
The exact same thing happened with Ratchet & Clank. Bought A Crack in Time from game.com.au for $28 and then I found out I could've gotten the Twin Pack from ozgameshop for $38!
I bought used Uncharted 1 from ecogamer forum for $22 and platinum Uncharted 2 $16 from fishpond 8 months ago. Still haven't got time to start them yet. :S

Wow two of the best games ever made for one low price. I bought Ucharted 2 first day it came out for $90. It won multiple game of the year awards back in 2009. If you havent already played this I suggest you do so.
