Here is a rare Edifier model, the R2730DB, it is listed on overseas Edifier websites only (US / Asia).
A larger cabinet / driver design with all the same features as the smaller ones, including Bluetooth 4.0, Optical / Coax digital inputs, 2x RCA inputs, Subwoofer out & Tone controls / Remote control / Speaker-grills.

Measuring 40cm (H) x 22cm (W) x 30cm (D) they are much larger than the R1700BT which is 25cm (H) x 15cm (W) x 21cm (D).
The R2730DB cabinets are made from MDF with cabinet-damping material inside to reduce resonances.
Notes: When looking at the size of these speakers you may think they are for ’outdoors’ or ‘parties’ but they have the same SNR (Signal-to-noise ratio) as their other models, meaning they only get equally as loud.
If you have people over / and a person decides to max-out the volume, and you leave it playing like this for hours you may damage the speakers.
These are designed as large speakers for listening in a larger room (lounge etc) and are designed for indoor use. Customers have reported that if you use them on a desk the bass will be overwhelming (even at -6 bass level).
They may be OK in a smaller room, provided you place them far away from your listening position.
The speaker connecting cable is permanently connected to the Master speaker & is 2.7m long, so the furthest you can put these speakers apart will be roughly 2 to 2.5m.
The front-ported design means placement can be close to the wall.
As for overall sound, I would expect they will be slightly less refined than R2000DB / R1700BT, but maintain their sound-quality better at higher volume levels.
