Nice to see you back after 12 months, but might not want to copy/paste the old deal without alterations:

Simply join before midnight the 15th of November 2018 and we'll sling $50 your way! (bank transfer or PayPal).

  • Give me a second, let me finish my pizza first, I will then get on my time machine and travel back to November 2018

  • I don't have NBN yet, despite being almost Melbourne CBD (West Melbourne).
Any other good deals around for ADSL etc?

    thanks

Hate these sites that ask for your details before they give you the comparison, then badgers you with spam calls trying to sell you a plan later.

    • Yep…supposedly to 'personalise your service', when it's really just so they can have carte blanche to make unsolicited phone calls.

  • Yeah gross just sign up with superloop and cut out the spam middleman

Make sure you read the recent reviews on Productreview.com.au about TPG's world class customer service before you click the buy button.I'm with TPG and I can assure you the reviews are 100% correct.

Can second this, I have been using TPG for 12+ years
Used to be the cheapest. Now with lots of extra hidden fees and poor customer service
I changed to Kogan this year

Friends don't let friends sign up to TPG.

I won't ever go near TPG again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I had nothing but issues with my internet while I was with them and their customer service was worse than useless. Turns out it was just their terrible service and after switching to a decent company I've never had another problem.

And ever since they took over Internode, speeds are in the gutter there too.

    • Is it really that bad? I don't have nbn yet but was considering join up to tpg. Not so sure anymore.

  • Signed up with tpg June of this year. Between June and September had them booked in a total of seven times to hook us up and not once did someone come. They also accused us of not being home and tried to charge additional call out fees. Avoid them like the plague!

  • Be careful of these so called cashback offers with TPG. I signed up to TPG 5 years ago with a $50 cashback offer. Never receive a cent. Tried to contact the company doing the cashback multiple times but received no response. TPG were no help either.

  • Yikes! Reading through everyone's comments, are tpg really that bad? It sounds like their CS are terrible. I need to sign up to nbn in the next few weeks and tpg was on the top of the list.

Which is a better company/provider? I'm currently with Telstra (bad) and need nbn and a home phone line too, preferably a reasonable price each month (<$90) and decent speeds, thanks.

      Look into Aussie Broadband

      • Totally agree with Dlw, their 50/20 plan with No Lock in contract is $79 if you need the phone line to receive calls then it's free, if you plan on making calls they have 2 plans with included calls which may save you money. They also have a referral system so you can get a discount on your first month. Unfortunately their first month free offer has expired.

TPG also charge you $99.95 for a No Lock in Contract or you have to sign up for 18 months to get it "free". On top of that they have a $20 prepayment fee and $10 delivery fee for the modem that you're locked in to using for their VOIP setup. So if you choose a No Lock in contract you're looking at a $199.94 first month fee for the pleasure of joining their crappy service on a 50/20 plan!

I still don't understand how people believe a TV ad and just jump the gun.

    • I noticed that when I got the 'nbn is coming soon' email from them.. so I went with Aussie pre-order deal instead

  • TPG have the worst customer service. Have had issues with both mobile and business internet. 👎

On top of that the spam calls you will get. Save yourself the headache.
