The more you measure the more it scares you and measuring can become obsessive and cause you more damage then help, upset you, anger you etc.

Saw this few days ago - didn't post it because it is a very unreliable product. Poor correlation with actual blood pressure readings. drazenm is correct with their statement too.

I have this one but I do not recommend. It is not that accurate and fail to measure many times and now I got a result after 10 fail attempts. Just old school arm monitor is the best.

Yea don't use the wrist stuff. Not accurate at all and will make you more stressed than anything else lol

That's not always true, Choice have tested both arm and wrist blood pressure devices and they have recommended one of the wrist ones and a few of the arm ones. Omron generally were the ones recommended.

I purchased the Omron wrist one over ten years ago and it's still accurate today.

Thanks to the posts above it's convinced me not to get one for my father.

  • I am waiting for the Withing's BPM Core or BPM Connect.

I am finding their products are very accurate (eg: Withings' Body+ Scale) so their reviews are very good.

  • You shouldn't cheapen out on these things if you really want to measure. Get a decent Omron and you're set.

    • Why the fearmongering? Any evidence?
Measuring BP with a cuff is inherently of limited accuracy, and BP varies widely over a day, as does resting pulse.
Omron are good, but using it correctly is much more important than brand.

      • Agree with all you've said. I'm not fearmongering, but personally used a cheap brand and an Omron together and the former fluctuates wildly. Family member is a nurse and did the measurements. You could also read the reviews on Amazon etc. Just saying that you don't want to be falsely panicking due to a dodgy instrument, assuming you know how to take measurements properly.

        • Fair enough. But this particular one seems to be ok.
Sadly none were close enough to me.

Been to Melton jb at 9.15am and when asked manager where i can find that. He said all sold out in morning. I was about to leave and seen a shelf in corner with quite a few pieces of them, as i moved towards that manager ran to me and said, let me check if i have any left. He gone there and got one for me.. wow JB.. if you don't want to sell then why reduce prices.. pretty low behaviour

I think JBhifi want to sell but their staff and manager do not want to sell it on cheap price or they just want to give it their known.

    • Yeah, had similar experience. Showed in stock but was told sold out but i came when they just opened. Dodgy.

  • Nothing comes up from the link anymore…
