  Savage is bcf home brand I believe

  Do yourself a favor, get a sienna or Sedona Shimano, pair it with a ugly stick and you'll have a much better combo

  I'm very hard on my sienna reels and they still go strong

    Also worth noting when a company has a home brand and they Mark it down for a special, they are generally not clearing old stock, rather just trying to use price anchoring techniques.

  BCF is the distributor for Savage in Australia. The stuff is actually pretty good (not like Mojiko with anaconda). I have always been a Shimano person (Cazna & Sienna reels, Sonic rod, nothing special) and got a Savage spin combo by chance. It's now my preferred rod a reel and I'm considering getting another.

  Bang for buck, there's not much better on the market.
