Second (possibly third?) hand 17" LCDs for $55?

It's pretty easy to pick one up from eBay for less than $40 or get one delivered for under $55.

Unless you're providing an exceptional warranty (e.g. 1 year is pretty good on old items) then I can't see the deal here.

EDIT This guy's got a bunch of them for $53 delivered.

17" monitors typically go for $19 + 15% buyers premium

there are some 20" IPS screen Dell monitors for not much more than this "deal"
the downside is, no warranty and may have defects.
