Just FYI, in my experience gv stuff tends to be bottom-of-the-barrel quality compared to other brands to the point where it's just unpleasant to use. Good price for the amount of stuff tho.

Yes Mechpro is far better and Repco is better again.
People often ask me about getting these kits as gifts and I advise not too as the quality is so low. What I do recommend these for is spares for when you need to "destroy" a tool, like welding stuff to it etc.
A fair few stores currently have some very nice socket sets on clearance for under $100 with a lifetime warrant, excellent gift idea and awesome quality.
Which company tools are best?
I have used Sidchrome and Kincrome for working on cars, bicycles, and steel frames in a garage. Both very good, and both available from Bunnings. I would purchase whichever brand has the better price at the time.
SCA's ToolPro stuff tends to be pretty decent and worth picking up on special. Kincrome and sidchrome are of course good too but harder to find deals on.
I'm not seeing any cable ties.

I once got this set as a "gift". In my opinion its probably worth no more than $49, it truly is a horrible tool set - the quality is simply not there. I put it up on Gumtree for $50 and ended up selling it for $15.
