You've been told its available from 1pm, he has setup the new code and it kicks off at 1pm, how is whinging that its still not working, after being told its at 1pm achieving anything for anyone?

              OP doesn't need to learn anything except that Ozb are a fickle lot who have a greater sense of self entitlement than most places, he's done well to remove the 100 odd neg votes that occurred when the Amazon site couldn't process the codes.

              I get you think the world owes you something, but it really doesn't. It REALLY doesn't. As a retailer he could just walk away - 600 sales in 2 minutes indicates it was working but he still stuck it out.

              OP doesn't have anything to learn except that the self importance of people is always evident here.

              If it fails at 1pm, complain away, but you've been told the new code works at 1pm (likely his lunch break where he can jump on here to monitor it)

                @MorriJ: When you set up an Amazon code there is a couple hour delay they impose before it becomes active, so although I created it first thing this morning for you guys, it will not be live until 1pm.

                  @Astivita: I completely understand, I used to sell on Amazon.

                  You have two options:

                  1> create a code and post it here with a start time (there are delays for the code to be activated etc) - ozbargainers then get a chance to get the product at the discounted price using the code and only competing with other ozbargainers (more stock to ozb).
                  2> change the base price to the lower price without needing a code - everyone on Amazon then competes to get the product at the discounted price as no code needed.

                  I prefer option 1> wait and have a significantly greater chance of getting the product at the discounted price (being an Ozbargainer and knowing the code etc).

                  I know last night you changed the prices to the $2 mark to appease people which I thought was fantastic tbh.

                  No need to justify it either way; you are offering a product for cheap that people want. I am also aware of the fickle nature of the Amazon code system so not surprised there were a few hiccups last night, you came to the party though, well done!

                  Wish people weren't so self entitled is all tbh.

        @4agte: The OP came up with a new sale idea. Amazon's server structure didn't comprehend the short amount of time that was intended for the sale. Amazon indeed had issues last night. It wasn't just you, many other people experienced the same.

    Thanks OP, this deal was a screamer and well done on getting those negatives revoked.

    We all appreciate the cost of storing and shipping items in Amazon Centres is well above the $2 mark for most of these items and it's a loss leading exercise - we ozbargainers love retailers loss leading.

    Good news is I am about to purchase a house (probably this Thursday) and will be crawling your account for any decent products I actually need, so hopefully you see some real conversions in all of this as well.

    I did end up taking multiple items which is great. But Amazon says Payment revision required.Tried revising several times. Is anyone else having the same issues? Tried with other debit card that I have, same issue.

      I called CBA and they said basically many transactions within 2 mins gets flagged as duplicates (not sure how if they are different things). They said the only way to prevent this was to order every 2 minutes. CBA said to resolve with Amazon, Amazon said to resolve with CBA, lol.

      I just used another card and it all worked.

      Your bank isn't liking multiple transactions over a short space of time.

      You can try revising it to the same card, and Amazon will try again (let's say 2 orders, so only 1 payment goes through). Then if need be, revise to the same card again, Amazon tries again

    Highly disappointed. Just realised the code I applied for the sleeping mask unknowingly reverted to full price and I paid for it. Will be returning it as soon as delivery is made. Not impressed at all with the time waste.
