  • Had a Koala mattress since 2015. Is this better?

    • Can't comment on Koala but I returned an ecosa mattress because it was incredibly hard, and it was only the 'medium' firmness. Spent an extra $500 on a Sleeping Duck and haven't looked back

      • Did you try moving the layers around to a soft configuration?

        • Yes it was arranged for the softest setting, which they categorise as 'medium'

          • @n1ck: Did you get a free topper from them? I found exactly the same thing and when I asked for a return they sent me the free topper which made all the difference.

            • @Dundundunnnn: Does the topper make the bed feel any warmer, or same temperature-wise?

              • @tommo224: I didn't notice any additional heat but I have the mattress straight on the ground (slab under carpet) rather than on a base and live in a reasonable climate in NSW.

@Dundundunnnn: Yes they did offer a free one, but by that time we didn't think anything would improve it that much.

I think they are all the same/similar. Koala, Ecosa, Onebed etc
Although I have a King Ecosa, and bough a KS for the kid and would say the Ecosa feels a bit better.

I love my Ecosa. Best sleep I've had in a long time.

Just a heads up. Ecosa mattress is made in China while Koala is made in Australia.

    • From what I recall reading when I was researching, the Ecosa is put together in China from Australian made foams and Chinese made everything else.

Also, bought a Queen Ecosa a week ago ($899). Been alright so far, albeit a lot harder than our original foam mattress but is much much cooler temperature wise. Doing the 100 day trial and will see if we keep it.
