Pretty good price considering most sellers are selling for over $300. Might even be the cheapest listing on OzBargain.

Bought heaps of phones from Goldway. Never any issues.

Cashrewards brings it down to $253.14 or less if you by through the AliExpress app.

Mi Max 3 is a great phone. Wife and mother in law has one. Battery lasts two days.

This one comes with google play?

    • Yes global Version. I recommend flashing with xiaomi.eu firmware. It's much better.

      • Noob here, what makes it better?

          More updates,less bloatware.

          • @Korban Dallas: Does it kill any Warranty?

PS We got one of the 6GB + 128GB versions, on eBay: AU$ 317 Shipped, w/ 12 Mon ware. (apparently fr an Aussie shop)

Tried to buy another for a friend but it was impossible to put it into our trolly… :~(

            • @IVI: Probably. But it's OK if sold from an EU distributor. Perhaps you could ask Goldway?

            • @IVI: Saw one (4GB, 64GB ver.) for ~Au$ 227 + $7 shipping on AliExpress
              [fr Goldway?]

(Expect a Long wait for it to arrive, tho.)

PS Check for "11.11 Sale prices"
Altho Not always below lowest nonSale ,
sometimes you can save a few Au$'s IF you
              Buy on 11.11

      So basically useless.

Just waiting on a first review of the Redmi Note 8 Pro to confirm these exact specs.

    • I think it might work as a Remote for TV, etc. with the usual (& incl's) app.

  • Not Global version?

  • Was hoping a Mi Max 4 would be out soon, this one is getting on the older side.

Xiaomi came out saying Mi Max line is dead, months ago.

However Note 10 being launched at the end of this month ,and maybe that will bring the huge ass screen sizes back

      • +1

Oh that's sad news. I can't go back to smaller screen.
Mi max 4 with same screen size, better low light camera, NFC and wireless charging will be perfect.

        • I had OG Max and loved it too, but it's reasonable they killed the line cos midrange and flagships are now 6.4 at least. More and more 6.7/6.8 etc so eventually they'll be 7 inch soon within the next year.

        • Wait for Mate 20 X to go down in price?

      • "the end of this month"

with it being 4 days to go, I'm calling that doubtful - but likely for November

personally looking forward to seeing what the MiTen (MiTen, Mi10, MiX?) brings, as looking to upgrade a Mi6

        • Guess so so maybe November. Was certified yesterday by Chinese regulators so it is coming for sure.

      • There was a Note 10 "phablet" years ago.
…by Samsung? Maybe it was made by Xiao Mi, who - as makers - got the IP…?

        • We got an 8" Samsung back around the same year (maybe after getting the 10" ver.?)

Will 4GB RAM make the running slower? 6 GB or 8 GB RAM would be better.

I bought a mi max 3 for my mum with 6gb and 128gb for $295 from eBay with an Australian seller. Better deal there imo. Ozbargain not letting me put the link so you can search it yourself.

      • Can you tell me the model number for that one? Trying to figure out whether they sell genuine global version or Chinese version with global f/w. Cheers

      • Maybe just post the eBay item number we can search by that.
