    lol, on their website:
    "was $699 sale $699"

Those kind of bargains don't come around every day.

    • Woww.. save $0, that is a huge markdown!
Hot price for a 3d set (if it is??? LOL) but with wheelie bin brands you (dont) get what you pay for.
      Go LG or Sanyo.

      • Sanyo don't make 3D LCD TVs, only 3D projectors AFAIK! This is half the price of ANY brand name 42" TV, I reckon it's worth a shot!

Plus, they're decent enough to recognise that not everyone is a loser that watches 3DTV alone; so they kindly supply 4x sets of glasses! There's a minimum $300 or so additional purchase required with most other brands! ;)

      • Says it's an LG panel anyway!?

        • -2

          LG panels suck

        • I wouldn't know; I've only ever owned Hitachi or Samsung plasmas/LCDs. :)

  • Id buy it today but cannot find a review of the unit….
I found a few reviews of their non-3D tv that says the digital tuner is not so great but then again I have a foxtel box

I wish manufacturers would be clear on energy consumption. That's the problem with buying a cheap screen you inevitability pay for it for the life of the TV in electricity costs.

although the future value of a dallar is more than what it is today… ie i could invest the money i saved - earn compound interest, thats the true comparison. extra energy use - VS interest on money & principal.

      • WTF? Did you just attend an introduction to finance lecture and feel like showing off?

        • why yes - yes i did an introduction to accounting :P (not feeling like showing off though)

my point is valid none the less. ie i can use the money i saved on something else if i was that concerned - eg a device to shut everything off when it goes into standby etc.
its just not a true comparision,

actually i think i phrased it wrong though, but still the same principle - 1 dollar is worth more to me now than it is in the future - ie the energy savings - due to the interest i could earn on it.

Good point…. if you are planning to run the TV for 17 years - continously that is…. :P

Good deal from a yumcha TV

that's so racist… have some decency

      • OMG people have been using that term for ages!

        • Yes, but that doesn't make it any less racist than newer epithets!

  • for a LG panel the brightness and contrast figures suck bigtime, probably an old panel they had to move by the boatload, but for 3D at this price some will be tempted

  • wow gaming TV! if only the wife will approve!!
