Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

    • +2

Well …you could always put the $250 towards the price of a new drone ;)

    • Or just sell the voucher off if you don’t need it.

  • +1

Well Bunnings handled this better then Gerry did a few years back. Far far better.

Still wondering where I am standing though. +'d the deal at 6.46. So in with a chance but have heard absolutely nothing except my PayPal invoice email. Nothing from Bunnings yet.

  • I hope whoever made this oopsie kept their job. Our thoughts are with you in this difficult time if you’re sacked/breached/got a warning in your record.

    • He died for our sins drones

  • Is everyone who called / ordered in-store still waiting for communication?

Seems like they are almost done with the online orders and calling the in-store orders state by state.

Massive thread can't read it all. I got the $250 voucher also. Has anyone worked out why Bunnings has been so generous? They didn't have to fulfill these order or give vouchers. I'm sure they were monitoring this thread. Feel a little guilty jumping on this.

Surely no one that ordered didn't know this was an error and would complain when not delivered. And $250? They could of got away with offering less. I'm sure from now on everyone on this site will be jumping on all obvious pricing errors from now on. Anyway thanks Bunnings.

    • +1

I am curious too. They could've simply cancel all orders and most of us would've moved on accepting it was an obvious price error. I believe $50 voucher would've been more than enough to keep the complaints to a minimum, so why $250?
      Thanks Bunnings again!

      • +1

There was a comment in the thread that said $250 is enough to get power tools, which means they would be making customers "buy in" to their systems (potentially making more $$ in future purchases)… Obviously not the sole reason but makes a little sense?

I, for one, am looking to possibly get a new power washer with my $250, or maybe put it towards a drone. Haven't decided yet.

        • Thanks for sharing the comment. That seems to be a reasonable explanation.

    • Bunnings are launching their Amazon competitor marketplace this week and probably decided they didn't need negative publicity. $250 is quite generous. I would have tried $100.

  • Still waiting revert from Bunnings for my online order (Store pick up)…Hopes are high based on Bunnings generosity. !! Anyone else yet to get revert from Bunnings?? ofcourse i am expecting Drone.. :)

  • Are they honouring Special Orders physically ordered in store?

    • Couple of people in the comments above said they ordered instore and got a call from a Perth number to confirm it would be fulfilled

Also saw someone posted they ordered in store and got a call asking for their email address to send the $250 voucher.

I’m guessing they are calling state-by-state for the in store orders now?

  • I tried my luck at somewhere near 8 am Melbourne time. Just got the spinning circle and thought I'd missed out. What do you know 30hrs later, turns out I got a $250 voucher. Like previous posters, $50 would have been plenty given the massive price error.

  • Anyone still receiving phone calls today?

  • Still haven’t received a call or email but I still have a pending credit card charge.

    • +1

Yep. Another day goes past and no change. One part glad no email for voucher. But nothing about a drone either. I'm semi hopeful as I got in early but I'm just left in limbo right now. See where i am tomorrow…

      • I'm in the same boat. PayPal transaction is no longer pending on my CC, but haven't heard anything yet. Not holding my breath on the drone though.

      • Same here. No email or call and charge still shows on my Paypal, no refund.

  • Refund received

  • +1

Refund received via PayPal. Good to c them working Sunday to fix the issue 👍

Bunnings Group Limited has sent you a $298.00 AUD refund for your purchase on 16 October 2019.

    • +1 just received a refund on my pick up order.

    • I still haven’t received my refund yet

      • Ditto.

        I paid with credit card

      • Same here, no email from Bunnings yet and no refund either. Paid via PayPal. We'll see what comes early this week

    • No gift voucher??

  • Hey guys, does any one know if they will send an email after they called and confirmed about the drone ? coz they called me and told me i will be getting the drone but no email yet…

  • How the (profanity) did I not see this deal.,

    • +3

you had to see it in the first 17 minutes or so if you wanted the drone, and about an hour for the gift card, was down pretty quickly, dont stress too much…

      • I was under 45 minutes and no voucher.

  • +3

Got a $250 voucher and I ordered around 8:10am NSW time. Thanks Bunnings and OP!

  • +2

Thanks OP! And thanks Bunnings for the $250 voucher :)

  • Has anyone received a phone call or email today yet?

    • I haven't received a call or an email at all yet. I'm starting to think the order has gone through and the first call will be to come in and collect it…….at least that's what I'm hoping!

Keep in mind, most people reported to receive calls from a Perth number where it's currently only 8:07am.

  • This may have been answered but do you have to use the full $250 in one hit. Also, can you use multiple in one order?

    • +1

I just went in with a wish list and spent $251 :)

  • -1

Received my second voucher today, no drones but happy with the response from Bunnings

    • did you use different email, phone number or credit card? I purchased online and over the phone, so wondering if I have a chance at 2 (used different email addresses)

      • One was an online order the other was over the phone. So you should get 2

        • I ordered one through bunnings account and one as a guest and have now been refunded both but only received 1 voucher :(

  • I received my refund yesterday evening (PayPal) and the $250 voucher Sat by email. Would have loved the drone, but well played Bunnings.

  • Still no Paypal Refund yet….patiently waiting.
However Bunnings voucher in hand ready to spend.

    • 3-5 buiness days.

  • Sorry if this has been asked before, When do the electronic gift cards expire?

    Thanks!

    • +1

No Expiry. If you have downloaded the voucher then read T&C. Its there in last line

  • +3

Finally got a refund at 1pm today. No voucher email.
I'm not liking myself for feeling resentment over not getting something for nothing. O well. Time to move on…

    • Did u pay by PayPal or credit card?

      • PayPal as guest.

    • Same. Rang them and they said some hadn't been processed yet. I call bs though

  • Got a refund, but no voucher. Paid via PayPal.

    Any reason?

    • Same here. Looks like we might have miss out

      • Same, got refund no voucher

    • Check junk mail or you may have miss spelled email address , then call them they will resend

  • Just got refund

  • Me too, refund no voucher yet. Going to call them.

    • Would be interested to hear how you got on, I just got my refund too but no voucher

    • +1

I gave them a call and was told to wait till Thursday and if it hasn’t come though give them another call.

    • +5

      Nope, you definitely sound ungrateful.

      • -1

        Everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
But this is what big company’s do. Get around things and be deceitful because they believe no one knows the law.

        • Why is there always a fool?

        • +2

          Great, another wanna be lawyer.

if they are deceitful as you have claimed, why are they handing out $250 gift cards for a genuine pricing error?? They can easily rely on their T&Cs to put this to bed and not have to honour anything at all. They don’t have any obligation to fulfil anything as it’s a genuine pricing error. They have done nothing deceitful.

Seriously, tell me which company that has made a pricing error stuff up and actually handed out $250 gift cards to each customer that missed out? Most companies hand out a $10 or even $0

        • You can have an opinion, but incorrectly interpreting the legislation is not an opinion. It’s just ignorance.

    • +3

Just for the record, I did not get the deal (neither voucher or drone), but kudos to Bunnings for a whole lot more graceful conduct than Qantas Frequent Flyers's Sony A7 where people who did not get the camera, did not get any voucher, also did not get refund on the overpriced 2000 points top up. Even worse, their price was not as obvious a price mistake as Bunnings, and QFF had nothing to lose as no Paypal fee involved! Thumb up to Bunnings, middle finger to Qantas Frequent Flyers from me.

      • Oh did you miss out on placing an order?

        • Being in WA means by the time I wake up, the early morning deals like this are already ozbargained :-)

    • So have you received a $250 gift card from Bunnings? If so, are you planning on keeping it, and then also taking legal action? That’s a bit of a dick move. Maybe just return the gift card.

    • One solution would be to stop being a fecking whinger and get on with your life…

  • To Feeksi, no one here is doubting Bunnings making a genuine mistake. Which you must prove otherwise to get remediation. Anyway, take them to court if you still think we are all wrong. They have taken the honourable role of paying for this mistake on a first come bases.

    • Excuse me? We are not the ones whinging.

    • +3

@Feeksi. Maybe have a read of this.

      https://legalvision.com.au/when-do-retailers-have-to-honour-…

None of the information you copied and pasted applies in this context. There’s no multiple pricing displayed, no misleading claims and advertising, no false or misleading statements, and no deception. The bottom line is, it was an isolated product incorrectly priced, and Bunnings had the option of following their store policy and had every right to just provide refunds only. But instead, they decided to honour what they could (based on supplier stock availability), and provide the rest of the customers with $250 gift cards (with full refund as well).

Also, let me ask you this. If an item retails for around $1999 everywhere, but one website was showing $298, wouldn’t a reasonable person pick up on the fact the pricing isn’t quite right and may possibly be in fact an error? It was 85% off for goodness sakes!!!!

Arguing with Bunnings head office and demanding the drone be honoured does not help your case. They are not in the wrong and have tried their best to rectify the situation. They may in the end just give it to you just so you’d stop calling and harassing them, but it doesn’t mean you are right about the law. It is people like you that ruin the generosity shown by others. Don’t be a self entitled douche.

  • Anyone received the drone so far? Or it's just being fulfilled and everyone waiting for the confirmation email to pickup.

    • +1

My online order was for postage, but it hasn’t been updated yet saying it’s been posted.

  • Paid by card, no refund yet.

  • I paid by bank CC. It was preauthorised.

I guess it expires today and the charge is no longer there.

Bunnings didn't have to do anything just let the preauthorisation expired by itself.

Lesson learn next time pay by PayPal. Lol
