    Guys, just so you know. I think these have serious creaking issues. I bought one pair from JB for $270 (lucky price-match from previous post a few weeks back); and the first pair started creaking after one week - the left side was creaking like no tomorrow whenever I pulled it over my head. Got that replaced with another pair, and the same issue started exactly one week after, as well. So I got it replaced… again… only to have the right side start creaking after only one day of normal use. Whenever I moved my head, it reverberated and was audible, which frustrated me so much.

    I mean, they sound great, have great ANC, but the goddamn creaking… Was I really unlucky with three pairs… in a row…? And man, I got it at such a cheap price, but I was forced to get a refund because no sane man would keep a pair of expensive creaking headphones.

    :[ Maybe I jinxed myself when i bought em for so cheap.

      It's plastic so there's a bit of a creak when you twist them but I wouldn't call it an issue.

        Mine were really, really loud, though. Especially at night in a quiet environment. I tested out the ones in store, and they only creaked a little, while the Bose didn't even creak at all. Even so, a pair of $400 headphones should not creak, plastic or not. I think I was just super unlucky.

          You were probably super unlucky. I have a pair of the XM2's which I've had for maybe 2 years now and they creak a bit when putting them on but until I just did it 2 minutes ago, I had never even noticed it.

      I got one set and another for my housemate from Sony with their spend $500+ amex deal back in August. Neither of us have had any creaking issues, so either you're enormously unlucky or somehow I just don't notice this problem.

    I went to try these at JB yesterday in Brisbane CBD, and they sounded like treble was turned all the way up and there was certainly no noise cancelling.
    Could this just have been a thrashed demo pair, or was the demo sound broken? In comparision, the Bose QCII sounded as expected.

    I'm trying to determine which of these two suckers will be more comfortable for the ridiculous scar on my head.

      I had both the Bose QCII and these Sonys. Both have brilliant noise cancelling and sound, however I think sony has an edge over sharper sound. You must have listened to a crappy broken one lol
