thanks, got 5
Holy cow. $413 a pair of shoes. My budget is $40.
Head on over to Double Monk where you can purchase boots over triple that price.
Yep, can easily eke out a few years from virtually any pair of shoes. Especially when they're only used for the applications that most RM boot wearers would engage in (office work).
Rivers. More comfortable Chelsea boots though not of the same build quality.
Thanks OP been holding out for a price like this, beats RRP of $595 that's for sure.
Mine was free shipping!? And I don't have eBay plus. Also used PARADISE code instead (also 10%).
Out of interest, when do most people found these parts wear these shoes? Is it for those who want an everyday rugged appearance since they're not already wearing steel-caps everyday? Going out on weekends? Are they waterproof? Would you happily get them dirty?
Most would wear them for office work. True OZBargainers would buy synthetic shoes for a fraction of the cost.
part of the appeal is they are so versatile you can wear them for the office, weekend out or going away for a weekend
In my office they are generally worn as dress shoes.
Thanks Op, purchased in the Chestnut as I had gotten my black pair earlier this year from David Jones (approx $440 from memory). The Dynamic Flex are so comfy, while understand the comments on price these are without a doubt the best shoes I've had, and wear them 4 days a week (Mon to Thur, not on casual Friday).
Buying the brown now with expectation I'll have both sets for 10+ years, especially the brown which won't get as much use.
Note my delivery estimation shows: Monday 14 Oct 2019 - Tuesday 15 Oct 2019
What happens if you order a wrong size? Is it free return?
If eBat plus member, then yes. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
If in Melbourne go to the DFO Essendon outlet. Got two Craftsman for $299 each. Highly recommend checking in with this outlet often as I bought like 4 pairs black, brown and the two suade. Total was $1200. All made in Aus.
Will probably last me until I drop dead.
Gear up; male, 98yo.
Hey bud, how long ago did you get that deal? I just spoke with DFO Essendon and they stated that they haven't had them at that price in a few years. She asked all staff member's that were there and none of them remember it being $299 each but said it's been $399 for ages and they haven't seen it drop below that. TIA
Have 2 pairs. Comfort Craftsman in the Black and Brown.
They are perfectly fitted and 100% more comfortable than your Julius Marlows, Aquilas, Hush Puppy leather brands out there and I can say I have had one pair for 6 years and not yet needed to resole them.
Skeptical at first due to the price but once you try them on and make the splurge, it's like your feet are walking on air.
I have been wear Wild Rihno and each pair lasts around 1.5 to 2 years. How are RM if I come then to Wild Rihno? Or are they not comparable at all due to the price difference?
I just threw my fav Wild Rihno shoes that I wore 5 days a week for almost two years as the sole wore out unevenly due to my walking posture and the insole became hard too.
DFO Essendon is on my way to work so I am planning to check RM out.
RM quality can't be compared to Wild Rhino. WR fall into the same category as Florsheim, Aquila, Julius Marlow etc.
I have a pair of WR, they are nice looking shoes, but comfort and quality of RM far exceeds.
Are you sure it is free express? Says standard
I am not sure. Says so on the item description.
Are these for corporate/formal wear also?
Pretty much only for corporate/formal use for the vast majority of purchasing here.
They are, and quite often worn by our prime ministers & politicians with suits visiting dignitaries.
Ah thanks, reminds me of the boots kids wore at school many moons ago. I guess they are trendy now too.
DFO Esendon has no stock.
Thanks,
Wanted a pair of these to wear to work for a while and the Dynamic Flex are apparently good for fitting orthotics but held off purchasing with the price and Sydney RM William stores not being great carrying stock so would need to order in my size which would take a few weeks defeating the purpose of a walk in retail store.
Ordered these from blowesclothing and they are due Friday.
Have to wait 4 weeks for Chestnut 7.5G.
@TightTerry: Ta. Will do.
