    Still no iphone 11 deals

    • +1

You're unlikely to see 15% off on Apple products, especially new iPhones.

  • +2

    Is it just wireless1?

    • Looks like it.

    • +1

      think it's allphones too

  • Any good deals for any monitors? I would get the lg27gl850 but everywhere is out of stock

    • +1

      Nothing in this sale.

Keep an eye out for the HP Omen X 27 QHD 240Hz monitor in a similar price range when that drops here, as well as Viewsonic's take on LG's panel with GSync:

      https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/blog/viewsonic-elite-xg270qg-wi…

      • +2

Viewsonic XG is going to be atleast 100$ costlier than LG, the Gsync module on its own would be a burden.

        • +1

Viewsonic also cut prices far more readily than LG, and with all the mindless types following the LG recommendation, there's a good chance they'll be relatively close in price in the coming months, at least close enough that variable overdrive would be welcomed for a small premium.

    • maybe the Gigabyte Auros AD27QD for $823 from wireless1 - best price i've seen but the LG and the new viewsonic are better value

    • Thanks for the suggestions, looks like the wait continues

    • There was a Sydneytec listing (for GL850), which I had on my cart at 622 and by the time I checked out (12pm system refresh Darn!), it was 692.

      • Yeah, they left a cart discount active by mistake. Two people managed to snag it.

I still reckon $600 is too much for LG's offering in the current climate, where budget QHD 144Hz VA and TN can be had for closer $400-$450.

Over in the US the price range is now AU$325-$450 on sale once you factor in GST.

        • I'm not sure if you checked the pricing in US sites for the right model. 27GL850 is retailing at the minimum of 475USD. not AUD. i.e ~700AUD excl GST. There's a FHD version which is lower cost ofc.

          • @ntlock: I'm describing the low-end QHD 144Hz market.

The LG is a mid-range product, and shouldn't be exempt from market forces.

            • @jasswolf: In 27" range, agreed that it is a mid-range product. But I don't think 300-425 is the mid-range. The closest competition is C27HG70 (a VA panel) ~660$, Acer Nitro XV272UP (~660$), PG279Q (~800$) and Gigabyte (~ 1k$).

This is not competing with entry 27" (all of them with either AUO VA panel or Innolux IPS panel). e.g Viewsonic 2758 2K / AOC CQ27G1

      • Sysneytec pricejack?? No WAY!!!😂

        /s

  • is there airpods deals?

  • When will this sale end? Waiting for the eBay UK promotion ;)

    Wireless 1 sale prices are a joke…

    • +5

Wireless1 is a joke full stop

      • I have always had prompt delivery from wireless1 often at a better price than elsewhere. I don’t buy a lot from them, but never had a reason to be other than satisfied. As far as eBay sellers go all good “for me”.
Why are they a joke, have other people had problems? You don’t say.

        • +1

Just one example. Last time I bought something with click and collect I was required to let them keep a copy of my driver's license. Not just to see it or make some notes, they demanded to make and keep a copy. And that for a $30 item.

    • They often have heaps of prices that are basically the best in Australia when their sales are on, i cant expect them to lose money everyday…

  • Any suggestions for a monitor for a future 2060 Super build?

I would love 1440p and 144hz but I don't think that card is going to do it. So think I would prefer 1440p at 60hz instead of 1080p at 144hz. Unless you can convince me otherwise

    • Freesync with 144hz will take care of that (48-144hz). Any reason why you aren't building it with 2070 Super? it is not much of a jump.

LG 27GL650 maybe, if you are sure about the 1080p.

      • Just pushes my budget a bit further than I want it to be.

I could probably try and skimp out on some other stuff. Maybe I'll price it up and see what I come too.

I started with a 1660TI and I'm already up to 2060 super :P So I'll be at 2080 TI soon enough haha.

    • Depends what games you will be playing. I'd go for 1440P 144Hz with freesync/gsync. Even if it can't push 144fps on all games, on the games it can it will be worth it (rocket league, csgo etc).

      • Forgive my ignorance, but what does freesync/gsync actually do?

Does it just stop tearing when you cant hit the FPS? at 144hz?

        • Essentially, yes.

        • Technically yes, it removes tearing.

Simplistically, it matches the refresh rate between monitor and GPU, typically between 48-144hz(or whatever cap is). So you get to play at 95Hz if that's what your GPU is rendering at. Win-Win.

          • @ntlock: Well sounds like I'll be looking at 1440p 144hz then.

I was thinking of the LG 27GL850 but I have one of those monitor arms that were on sale recently and the monitor has a recessed mount, which LG said they don't offer a backplate for it. So not sure if I can even mount it

            • @Fergy1987: Budget for LG27GL but not 2070 Super? :-D. If you want to get a better GPU and a good display for 144Hz you could do Samsung C27HG70. I remember seeing it at 660$. or maybe LG 32GK650?.

PS: Aversion to VA panels would make my suggestions useless.

        • +2

Vsync is when you force the GPU to render at the same hertz as the monitor. It doesn't matter if the GPU isn't ready or if the frame is rendered out of sync. This causes lag and stuttering.

Gsync/Freesync dynamically adjusts the monitor's refresh rate so that it syncs up with the rendering of the GPU.

I'm sure someone can explain it better than me though!

    • Which is more important? A beautiful, immersive, lifelike image, or responding as fast as possible to win matches?

Competitive twitch FPS games like CSGO? Prioritise 144hz.

      All other games? Prioritise 1440p.

  • +4
    • I don’t think I can responsibly own such greatness.

    • I am tempted, but I actually have one of those in the drawer, that works (theoretically) on Telstra no less. One day I will mount it on a frame.

  • +7

tell this seller to get stuffed. how stupid do they think we are?
are the prices in NZD or something? its all ridiculously jacked.

  • +1

    Decent prices on iPads, eg.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-10-5-inch-iPad-Air-Wi-Fi-6…

    Comes to $662. Not terrible.

Just need a similar code to come about for a Mi 9T Pro and I'll be set for shopping.

  • Why I am not able to use the code?
PATPAT works and gives 5% off… PLAYNOW is not working :(

    • … Eligible Tech Items

  • +10

Was looking for a samsung Phone (S10 or Note 10 families). Those prices after discount are still a joke.

    • -3

      Hi Eatoff,

Allphones don't price jack and strives to provide low prices, any particular model you are after? For example, the Note 10 256GB is listed from $1454 (lower than $1499 @ Samsung) before discount, and then you can apply the 15% PLAYNOW Discount.

      • +1

        Really? Comparing RRPs are we.
lyl iphone 11 128G is $1280 on apple and plenty of stock. can you please list this then?

      • You don't need to Jack because the prices are already 20% or more higher than anywhere else.

        • People will love to see if you happy to share the links with similar spec and price 20% better

  • +6

This is a useless coupon. Most products are price jacked :(

  • +1

    NO DEALS.

  • Argh the Wireless1 seller laptop I've been looking at for a month is not included for some reason!! >:/

  • Hi lyl, I see iPad Mini 5 was excluded from this? why?

    and..what's free Express Post? (AUPOST?)

    • Hi WesleyNZ,

I'm not a rep for Wireless1 (Allphones only), but this promo is for Eligible items only.

  • Any P30 Pro deal OP?

  • Couldn't apply code on iPad air 10.5"??
    Space grey colour

Is that code colour specific as well??
    Thanks

    Edit: sorry found it

    • Can you tell me what you did? I can't apply the code either, tried a few items which all have the PLAYNOW banner but none are working.

      • I searched for the ipad air space grey manually and entered the code.

        • Thanks mate, I tried that and it didn't work. Suspect it may have something to do with my original country of rego (not Australia) with Ebay. It's been since updated to Australia but still not working for some reason. I've shot off an email to the seller anyway so fingers crossed.

  • +2

    20% jacked or 10%?

  • -3

Wow .. what a great discount , I would rather buy an iphone XS for $2000 - 15% than buying an iPhone 11 . I’m so happy, proud and patriotic that I can support locally owned Aussie shop rather than overseas owned shop like Apple store .

  • Prices jacked up eg iphone 7 a few days ago it was $550, now $100 more.

  • It did with an Ebay code.

  • When will this offer end?

  • It's also working for thegamesmenau.

  • Gigabyte Gaming OC 5700 XT, which Gamers Nexus recently gave their overall best pick of the 5700 XTs, for $687.65…. Thoughts?
