Only an extra $4 for the 3000 MHz kit seems like a no brainer

    • Comes up at $116.33 + $8.07 Delivery ?

I only have an I5 8400 where I cant use anything faster than this

  • anyone using new ryzen needs higher rated memory than this..
infinity runs best with 3600 speed and also tightest lowest timings you can get..
you can overclock some ram just not this so do research first as its a minefield out there on ryzen stuff ..

I thought there was diminishing returns or negligible differences, unless you're benching the memory for peak performance in which case every digit counts, with higher ram speeds and clock timings….

Steve gives good rundown here but basically good to go 3200 CL14 timings but better if 1 to 1 with infinity 3600 and tight low timings..
if you just want a pc the works not concerned on getting best performance than lower spec rams ok…

I just watched the whole video…..it would appear memory clocks do matter now well at least for all the Ryzen 3000 CPUs (Matisse and Castle Peak), no idea if it's the same with the newer Intels or not……since it's not just a couple or so frames difference but can be as much as 30 frames a second difference or more….especially getting the 3866Mhz kit and either underclocking it to 3800Mhz or overclocking it to 4200Mhz whilst still keeping the 1:1 ratio for the three fClock, uClock and mClock figures, and same CL16 timings….

Yes 3200Mhz CL14 sticks would be a good general go to for above average performance….if you can find any…supposedly they're rare and expensive….

huh…looks like CentreCom have it, so does IJK, unknown interstate shipping costs though…all in the ball park for $220 minimum for a set….so $440 if you want 32GB out of it…hmmm…
