I'm getting negged for calling it a game? Weird..

        • +1

I didn't neg you so I'm not sure what's happening. Maybe you're getting negged for being weirdly pedantic about the use the of the word "good".

@joeflacco: I'm just excited about the game, nothing against the OP at all.

      • NaughtyDog are known for thier cutscenes and theatric experience but I think that's a bit of a reach. How do you figure this isn't a game? What makes a game?

A netflix show that has a few narrative options with a couple of buttons is more of an interactive cinematic experience.

        • All video games are just flashing lights and sounds that can be interacted with by using an input device.

People that call these types, and other cinematic types of experiences "not real games" are either overly nostalgic for games without cutscenes because that's what they played as a kid or are flexing because the games they play now may have some sort of imaginary credibility.

          • @Faro: I didn't say "real" game, I just said it's not a game.

And no, I don't fit into either of those categories.

            Also,

            flexing

            that's a cringe from me

            • @joeflacco: There's a heap of games that you could have a legitimate basis for calling "not a game", but this really isn't one of them.

            • @joeflacco: It’s cringe calling this not a game and then not supporting your claim

              • @corbz: I said it's more of an interactive cinematic experience than a game. Don't be all obtuse and pretend like you don't know what I mean.

Are you sure free click and collect is available? It looks like delivery os the only option.

Pick up is not available for this product

    • Yeah unfortunately no click and collect option until the game is released.

  • its been a long wait now can we please get horizon zero dawn sequel.

    • Wait for next E3 I guess?

  • Was I the only person who didn't enjoy The Last of Us?

    • +7

      Probably

    • What's your reason for not enjoying the game? It's got great story and excellent controls and game play.

      • Honestly I just didn't enjoy the creeping around using a sort of "ability" to see things through walls and also cause my console aiming is pretty bad. Have always been a PC gamer and the adjustment to console is quite a big one.

        • The reason for being able to detect what was nearby was essential to the gameplay type. You're meant to plot your way through areas with combat being the last resort (for the most part). If you want run and gun, and less of a deliberate play style, TLoU is definitely not for you. That's absolutely fine - not every game is for everyone.

Aiming with a controller takes time to learn. Don't let that put you off.

@Trickey: I do want to pick it up and try it again eventually but for now I'm not losing any sleep over not playing more than a few hours of the game.

        • I played the whole game with that seeing through walls sense turned off. Didn't miss it and thought it was a masterpiece.

    • +2

Lmao downvoted cos you didnt like a video game.

      • I know right, too funny.

        • I love every naughty Dog game I've played, but Last of Us never gripped me because it felt less, I dunno, fun(?) than the Uncharted series and Crash.

The limited ammo and stealth sections frustrated me more than encouraged me to continue playing.

In saying that, I do intend to one day play and beat this game, even if it means powering the difficulty, just so I can appreciate some of the story elements everyone always raves about

  • Why would people want to pre-order a game that comes out in over 4 months time??
Or has the release date been changed?

    • Why would people want to pre-order a game on PlayStation or Xbox? These games historically plummet in price within months of release
